Default 90 accord f22a1 to jdm f22b dohc swap

I have a 90 accord lx/4dr/AT. I blew my stock engine a while back so i copped a jdm f22b dohc off of ebay for 650. I recently towed my car to a auto spot n i gave the mechanic a pic of my engine n wrote down some of the specs so he could get an idea of wha he was workin with. Well obviously he doesnt no anything about hondas because he told me tha my jdm f22b needs a maunal tranny ta work right....lol. Not ta mention he hasnt seen my f22b face ta face yet(its still in my garage until later today). So wha i am askin is there some kinda of step by step swap info or some hard evidence i can find and print out and give to him tha will help me prove this mechanic wrong? Cuz i assume by his comment he knows nothin about hondas lol. Im not a mechanic but i do wanna learn more n as much as i can about my car. Eventually once im runnin again n i pimp my whip out i wanna throw tha young h22a vtech in. But for now the f22b will have ta do. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

My suggestion is to get a new mechanic.

Seriously, if this guy doesn't know anything about Honda engine swaps or even much about Hondas in general then why do you want him working on your car? Instead of wasting your time trying to educate this guy and prove to him that he's wrong you should be spending your time looking for a shop that knows their way around imports and Hondas specifically...

well lets see ive been tryna search for a mechanic for about a good year now n either they wanna charge me 900 or they get scared when i mention hondas lol. Anyway tho, i went to see the mechanic today n we had a nice lil convo n we were on the same page. I guess he new alil more then i thought. He wasnt clear on wha my main goal was wit my car at first(fa tha time bein its alil beat up, some people jus get rid of there whip cuz they dont no tha value buh i most certainly do). But im takin my engine ta tha shop on thursday n i should be good ta go ina few weeks. I have a question tho, does anyone have any idea where i can get a p39? Ive been lookin on ebay fa months n i havent found anything. Any websites?

$900 for a complete engine swap sounds pretty cheap to me. A lot of shops will charge more then that...
