Default 93 Honda Accord Radio Code

I, too, have a problem with the code. However, when I push in the numbers to get the seriel # nothing happens. It continues to display "code" with a blinking light. We have tried several times to disconnect the battery & follow the directions. We have tried the "1 & 6" then turn radio on. Nothing works to display the Serial Number.

Can you obtain a code with the following information?

1993 Honda Accord EX
VIN: 1hgcb7671pa012412
Mod: 39100cqlh1110x
Ref: cqlh1110x
Inside of radio/cassette door: 372A B29099

Thanks for all your help. I understand that it is $20 for this information.

Sincerely,
CWGRIFFIN

The serial number is on the back of the radio. You need to pull the deck out and look at it. It's not hard to do. If you have a Haynes or Chilton manual it should tell you how to remove the center console.

Or, just buy an aftermarket deck and call it a day. You can get one with a CD player from Walmart for around $50. Beats the factory 14-year old tape deck...

WTF???

Are you serious? That's the biggest rip-off I've ever heard of. If you have the know how to take the radio out then why the hell would you send it to someone else to fix it? All he needs is a code. If you take the radio out and get the serial number off the back of it a dealership will give you the code for $20, or sometimes for free depending on who you go to.

There is absolutely no need to pay $300 for a stock radio code. Shit, you could have a nice ass aftermarket head unit for that much.

Sorry to say, but you are a dumbass...

You must be crazy to spend that kind of money on a stock radio!

I have a 94 honda Accord USA wagon, It is a Jap import so the local Honda dealers won't/Can't offer any support. I have my radio serial number etc but don't know where to go to get it translated into the security code. Any Ideas?
