Default 95 Accord Help

Hello everyone let me start by saying thanx to anyone whi helps me and apologise if there is already a thread for this. I am using my cell phone to surf the forum as my comp is currently not working so the search function is a bit hard to use. I recently came into a 95 acord with a f22b2 non vtech engine in it. The engine is seized and I was wonderin if there were any engines that were a strait swap? it is a auto and I don't want to swap the tranny if u guys have any idea what engines will bolt up to that tranny I would appriciate your insight. thanks

wow all 3 of those will bolt to that tranny nice. how about wireing harness? I guess I'm asking if I can stab anyone of those engines hook up all the wires and drive or will I have to get a new harness and ecu? also which motor has the best hp output?

if you just want to drop in ang go your best bet is just to replace the stock motor with a stock engine

thanks for the input I found a rebuilt f22b2 for 900$ with 6mo warrenty so I think I will go that way the main thing is to get a second car running and quick. if I do go with the stock engine what kind of mods can I do after the engine is in to bump the hp a little? cold air intake? a head swap stuff like that.im not looking to race the car I just want to have a little fun with my commuter car.

swap to a 5spd trans lol or its really not worth wasting your money on mods unless its a turbo or nos

the standard tranny swap is definently in the works not immediately but its there I hate auto trannys. I'm in limbo right now I never drove the car but at 200$ who could pass it up concidering the car has a nice body.i know there is a cat back in the cars near future. have u ever drove one of these stock?

so I take it the f22b2 is a decent setup I like the cars looks and the way the seat fits me. I had a 87 integra that was a standard my dad screwed it up so he found me this car and is funding the rebuilt engine we will both be turning wrenches so it will be fun. its just really weird not having dohc engine I don't think I have ever had one here's to the start of a journey with no end point

thanks for the insight I feel more comfortable with the stock engine than I did during my first post so I will start there and hope its a good first step. but just to clarify will any of the motors you mentioned bolt up to the stock tranny? if so I may look into a h22

yea it should i know for a fact that all of those motors i listed will drop right in and mount right up to any accord 90+ with a 5spd tranny so it should be the same for the auto tranny but even if it dont, it want be that much work at all to make if work, and the wiring will have to have a few new wires to work if you go with anything but stock because the other motors a listed all but the stock and the h234 are vtec

so the h23 should be a strait swap? could you tell me what model and trim level that engine came in that way I could track one down and see what the cost would be. also do you remember what the hp is on the h23?

it will if the ecu that you get is a auto tranny ecu and the prelude came with a few motors so just make sure the ecu is for the obd1 h23.
