Exclamation accord with a knock

yes i have a 94 honda accord ex 2.2sohc vtec and its got a 174 thousand miles and it has a knock and it sounds like its near the timeing belt or the head i cant determine were its comeing from its not leaking any oil and its not burning it either and i have not replaced the timeing belt it only does the knock when it idles and or sitting still but when you rev it up or ur driveing it doesnt make the sound when you are driveing please help

If it was a connecting rod or wrist pin problem it would get faster when you rev it up. Is it a loud knock at idle or a loud tick? If it is coming from the cylinder head it sounds like a lobe on your cam shaft might be worn or a rocker arm is worn down. You know you can adjust the valve lash on the valves, that might work to. I am just trying to give you the cheapest solution first. Let me know.
