No i dont think it would. Does it smoke like a train? You could do a compression test.

You plugs are covered in oil? on the tip where the spark is created or on the upper part where the wire connects to the plug.

That is why your car isn't starting and staying on, you have valve seals leaking. and you need to get those fixed, but it wont be easy, you are going to have to pull the head apart.

He said where the spark is created, which means the tip, not the shaft of the plug, only the top part would be soaked if it was the seals that go between the valve cover and the head, the valve stem seals cover the tip of the plug that creates the spark, and it has the possiblity to be the head gasket too

if the oil is on the bottom of the plug (were the spark is created) it definatly would not be valve cover seals. Like the person said earlier its prob valve seals or rings if its all 4 and it happened all of a sudden I would def check comp but either way take the head apart do a wet and dry comp check so you can determine main cause thats pretty weird that it happened all of a sudden and NO SMOKE hmmm.

my brother drives a 91 civic lx. 1.5 lt, he was driving it the other day...and it just quit while he was moving down the road. at this point it wont start at all, just cranks and cranks but wont start. we have fuel, spark, but still nothing. the code from the ecu is 16, injection system defective etc...replaced main relay, nothing changed. re checked ecu.... no code since we reset it when changing the main relay. any one have any ideas whats going on here??

Start your own thread. I'm sure then someone would be glad to help. Thread-jacking just gets you flamed. especially when its nearly a three month old thread.
