H22a Question
By how much would a 4.9 final drive kit drop the top speed of my car.
Its a 92 Accord with an H22A swap and supercharger and some cooling and thermos work.... vtec controller and timing controller..... 5 speed manual. Would you recommend it on the road for regular use? |

itll drop it by quite a bit (not to mention dropping your gas mileage too).
usually i hit the top speed limiter at about 140 (and i still have 1500 rpms left in 5th gear). The gearing top speed will be changed to 136mph at 7800 rpms (assuming you have 205/40/17) tires Check out how i found this information: Fatboy Raceworks Transmission Gear Ratio Calculator - Honda/Acura & More your gear ratios are as follows: 1st 3.31 2nd 1.95 3rd 1.36 4th 1.07 5th 0.87 FD 4.27 PS, where are you getting that 4.9 fd from...i want one. __________________
