Wow, nice ride! Honestly, I'd say keep it stock. You don't see nice older Accords like that that are still in good shape very often. Clean it up, restore it, put some nice wheels on it and call it good. There's nothing you can swap into it that's not going to be a hassle (switching from carb to fuel-injection, custom mounts, etc.).

If you want something to toy around with that's much more receptive to engine swaps, then look towards an 88-00 Civic, a 90-97 Accord, or a 90-01 Integra...

The only thing I would personally do to that, is just some polishing. Such as clean it up and tuck away the wires and just shine it up.

Plus, for a $1,000 budget, there's really not much you can do engine-wise. Like I said, swaps aren't common in this chassis. To put in any of the popular newer motors (B16, B18, H22, K20, etc.), you're looking at some customizing, and that means money...

ok .. thank's for the information,
I'll replace or re-wiring,clean up the engines and put new muffler.
and how about if I replace the header configuration with the free flow type ( 4-1 ). need an advice please ?

heres my thought.. take that $1000 and put it into suspension/brakes
