This is my 95 honda accord ex. i have been trying to turn this car in to a race car. some of my parts are Zenon urethane body kit , bullet fenders, viper hood, 16'' rox onyx wheels, not to much done to the motor but some bolt on parts, chipped ecu, vtec 2500 redlimit 8500. drilled and slotted rotors. casmo short throw shifter, kamber kit, and tokico suspension, also act extreme clutch, fidenza fly wheel, quiafe lsd hp cv shafts. 2.5'' straight pipe exhaust. way too loud!! ticket getter!! well those are some of the things that i have accomplished so far, still working on the body .. how ever long thats going to take ... let me know what you think and if you have any good ideas let me know !!!

what the hell do you mean by that .... i hope your not referring to GAY!!!!!!!! cuzif you are then you can kiss my AzZ you lil sh*t

you want a "race car" but added weight, drag, and killed any aero dynamics the car has and not to mention you have a stock motor with a bunch of pointless parts

well first, my motor the f22 isnt staying . still waiting on my tax check . i already have a h22, tranny, ecu, and axels. and other necessities lined up for the swap. and my birthday is coming up in march and my wife is already gotten a t3/t4 kit from turbonetics. so the horse power will come . just need to be patient. as far as weight goes. the only thing that is added is a little bondo. sanded to almost nothing. i went fiberglass fenders and hoodand rear bumper . lighter than stock. front bumper side skirts are urethane. so tell me how am i adding weight . SORRY cant afford carbonfiber . what about aero did i do wrong . i thought that the handling was the majority of quick lap times. when road course racing sport compact you usually dont exceed 130-150. well not any of the tracks in my area.. Dont know the meaning of added DRAG????????? also the reason my bumper is under going re construction is be cause a camry rear ended and i was nice about it and let it go!!!!=} so other than that " LATER"

well seeing that the car has the aerodynamics of a brick now. thats going to create drag at the super high speed of 60. so if you have to go to 150.....which that f22 will neverm make it to.

you are the ultimate ricer

you not telling me whats wrong with what i got . you keep saying that there is no aerodynamics. so what i got isnt as good as stock huh. and like i said the f22 isnt staying in my car . show me some pics of your car so i can see what aerodynamics looks like on a car .and with the h22 built to hold 20lbs of boost that i will be installing w/turbo in the near future. my mechanic said that i should push 450,500 hp. still dont think that will get me there ????? and with power weight ratio. i should be just fine... what body kit do you recommend for my car that will exceed all of your aerodynamics regulations for exceeding 150mph. plz let me know ......" just cant get a break"

Wow!

Little homophobic are we??

Anyways, what I meant man, was that your car is "rice." It has a bunch of stupid parts on it don't contribute to making it faster or better handling, like the body kit, tail lights, painted interior, etc. The people on this board aren't really into that type of thing, so don't expect a bunch of nice comments on your kit and body work.

Alright, You say that you're trying to build it into a race car. If that's true, then why the hell did you put a body kit on it?? It's just going to get beat up, cracked, and broken, especially if you're actually going to be racing it and driving it hard instead of just bringing it out for shows. Also, molding your bumpers on is retarded...you just guaranteed that they're not coming off again, at least not easily. And when you're doing stuff like engine swaps or turbo setups, it's nice to be able to take the bumpers off, gives you more room to work!

Second, if you have an H22, tranny, ecu, and turbonetics kit ready to install, then why the hell did you buy all those parts for your current motor and tranny?? Stuff like the header, intake, clutch, flywheel, lsd etc...you should have waited until you installed the new motor to do all that stuff!

Third, you say you don't have the money for carbon fiber parts, yet you do have the money to buy all of the shit that's gone into your F22, plus the body kit, hood, fenders, tail lights, etc.?? If you would have skipped all of that junk then you could have gotten yourself a nice carbon fiber hood, trunk, and front lip. Your shit would look 50 times better than it does now, and it would weigh about the same, plus it wouldn't get all beat up like your body kit is going to!

That body kit you have isn't going to do anything as far as improving your aerodynamics! If you want aero components that actually work you need to spend big bucks on them, like thousands and thousands of dollars on really high-end stuff. Body kits like the one you have are for looks only!

And finally, if you think you're going to slap that turbo kit on your H22 and make 500 hp, well then you're sadly mistaken. To make that kind of power on an H22 you're going to need to rebuild the motor: get it sleaved, pistons, rods, all of it, and that's gonna run you another couple grand probably.

I'd say just sell this bucket as is and get yourself a clean car to swap the motor and turbo setup into, cuz this thing looks like junk!

Just my opinion...

my stock exterior > your gay body kit. brutal is right you get no aerodynamic advantage to a body kit. nice try though. and that car of yours will not be seeing 150 mph...not even the turbo h22 unless you do some tranny work. by the look of your car id say that you dont have the 4k to build the motor let alone put a 3k turbo kit on it. good luck

Round 2

Well, I have been beating down. No matter what comments are made . I will still continue to strive to become a race car driver. There is no reason that this car can not take me there. Granted the fact, it's not 800hp and fly's like a bird with a eagle all over it . The car handles very well. Will hold very sharp turns to 80 mph. Yes, I know that this car isnt the fastest but with some time and love. It will exceed all of my expectations. I'm not going to give up on what I have worked so hard for. This car has many hours of mine in it. I have put damn near new everything in it. Steering, suspension, transmission, motor, brakes, bearngs, and more than I can think of right now. Last year about this time . I purchased this jdm f22 for the low low low price of 1232.00. At the time , my motor needed to be replaced. So (not be a experienced honda mechanic) listened to the man at woodfin. Got the motor because I was told that a H22 wouldnt fit unless I got the tranny, ecu, mounts, and other BS. Over 3000 in acessories + motor. I got suckered. And after paying someone 1200 to swap. I was not happy with what 2400 got me .. So now with the kindness of the goverment refunding me a chunk of change. I have lined up a h22 block that has been sleeved, low compresion forge pistons and scat rods i believe. The block is complete and turbo ready. All for 2500. I dont know if that is a deal. The block comes with no heads. I have a h22 cly head. but its all stock. I know i have to get cams, valves, springs, and head gasket. With the rufund and the savings. I'll get the block, ecu, injectors, rail, and all installed. Then I'm tapped until the next side job.

So with this motor, and the turbo . My POS (as it has been called) isnt going to perform on track well, because of my body kit. I love my car and I'll continue working on it. And doing what is neseccary to complete a race car. I'll give you one thing. I wasnt thinking clearly then the thought of body moulding entered my mind. Hey, I get bored. So , I'll update as my car progresses.

your accord is not a race car and that stupid ass body kit is only hurting you. how many race cars have body kits?......maybe a few but generally dont even qualify....of if the do get stuck in last place.

as for that head the only thing you NEED is a head gasket. you dont NEED cams, valvetrain etc. save yourself a little money and get the motor in and running then worry about the cams and stuff. i guarantee that you dont drop the motor in and everything works great be prepard for some trouble shooting.

obvisouisly that this car is not yet a race car. It will become one!!!! and for the body kit goes. I still all of the stock componets. When i start going to the track in march. I'll try the time trails with the body kit and then I'll swap body back to stock. Run a couple of laps and see if the is any difference. I thought that if i had to run a turbo i need the cam and valvetrain . Well that was what i was told.. But as far as the body kit goes. It stays until i see that there is a difference in actual time. I know that all this kit does is for looks. And another questions . what tye of roll rage is recommended in a honda accord

this guy has good intentions just needs some direction...

dont you think that if the accord platform was good for racing, youll see more of them?

i would finish the body panels, paint and sell. then i would buy a 94-2000 gsr or some sort of hatch...

since you have the H you could find the guy on here thats selling the H2B adapter and run the H with the Bseries tranny in the gsr or hatch... shit even a 2dr soupe is better than the accord

m2c

All right , lets say I finish the body and paint it . With the guted interior that now can not be put back unless alot of junk yard shopping is done. Which is an option. Also the low milage jdm motor and low milage jdm tranny with quiafe lsd. Plus the other pointless things i have seem to do and got no where. What would it sell for ??? about price .

the gsr integra, dont know to much about the b series. How much do they sell for?? And which would provide the most on the track ?

I still dont think that i should sell my car though. A RACE CAR CAN BE STILL AQUIRED FROM THIS ACCORD. Just gotta stay on track.. The right one and not to be suckered anymore

"sport compact race cars" dont need foglights. They also dont need painted interiors. I bet that kit isnt very aero dynamic, neither are the front fenders. Plus, by making the rear bumper bigger, its going to act like an even bigger parachute and slow down your car. I really dont think youre going to make it into a race car. I mean you CAN, and you can try, but i dont think the end product will be worth it. See, the accord is big and heavy, two things you DONT want. Even if you gut the interior, you wont save enough weight plus the added weight of the h22.

Paint your car, sell it. Sell the h22. pick up an eg hatch, integra, or an ek hatch. check out Toronto - Total JDM! to see the prices of a b series swap. Genearlly a gsr motor will run you 3-3.5k with everything but mounts. You can use stock mounts that would total 200 or some fancy ones like hasport for 500. When you get the new car, dont paint it, dont put a kit on it. Do you see race cars with a rediculous looking body such as your accords?? didnt think so.
