I wouldn't bet on it, I had misfire issues and wires jumping off my distributor with MSD wires.
Accel wires just made my car run like poop (wouldn't even idle)

the point is hondas engineers spent tons of time and money developing reliable parts that work, it's only when you start exceeding the design parameters that you need to spend money on upgrade parts.

-painted valve cover
-new headers
-new high flow obx resonator
-new carbon fiber exaust tip
-new p.s pump
-new radiator
-new belt
-new injen ram intake
-new strut bar
-new deck (installed myself)
-new speakers

-not bad for learning as i went and not having shit for help besides u great guys

i think thats around all i did, tok a few months but im happy with it!

and after all that theres a small puddle of oil under my intake on my engine.....
the fun never ends!

10mm wires will brake down quicker over time than 7mm wires will, that's all. The 10mm will work fine for your car. OEM is always more expensive but you get what you pay for. At least you are trying at 16 to learn about cars. I was 20 when I started so I admire that. Good Luck.
