Is it possible to swap a f22b1 and tranny into a 87 accord lx
i got a piece of shit 87 accord. it really needs a new motor, can i swap from the f22 i have from an other accord into the 87 accord lx. to me it doesnt seem possible.

dude Google was made for a reason. Just type f22 swap or something and start looking. You could look inot Hasport, they make engine mounting kits and stuff like that but thats all I can say. I have a F22B1 (Vtec) and its pretty awesome yo. I plan on boosting it when someone puts about 3000$ on my doorstep HAHAH yeaaaa rite.

Wow, you guys are so knowledgeable...sarcasm there, in case you couldn't tell...
Anyways, no, the F22 motor and transmission will not easily swap into an 87 Accord. You'd be better off finding another Accord or Prelude motor from the era to swap in. You can do the F22, but it will take quite a bit of customizing and will run you a pretty penny if you're not going to do the work yourself...probably not the best route to go if you are just wanting to get your old car running again... |
