the green plug is for your vtec oil pressure switch. and the other wire coming out of the grey vtec plug does go to the ground

did someone that was helping ou pull the old engine have a cold//allergies//etc??

left plug looks like knock sensor
middle is vtec oil pressure sensor (ground the wire with the ring terminal)
right is vtec

the 2 pin plug your looking at isnt going to be used for your setup

Thanks bro. thats exactly what I needed to know!

Update 6/22:

Got a dizzy off a '95 DX. Only two of the bolts line up, but it fits.
Tomorrow I'll wire up those vtec related wires.

Why do you ask? The pic of my mom is super crappy. It makes her look sick or something.

I'm home from work today, so I'll be posting progress and pics throughout the day probably. so stay tuned, I'm sure i'll need help.

Last week during the install my rachet slipped and broke off the plug on the vtec noid.
And I took a picture of that strange looking plug.
the only other plug I can find thats like it is on the emissions crap(held it up next to it). Anyone know where it goes??

Cypher suggested it was the Knock sensor.
Where do i plug it into? I've been looking all over but can't seem to find a plug for it.
And where does my Vtec plug go? I thought it would be that Green/white wire from the vtec selenoid, but it has a cripped end, and my vtec harness has a plug...
should I pull the crimper thing off, and insert it into the other side of the long plug, so it lines up with the wire?

Aight. Thanks bro.

I can get around buying a new one by just connecting my vtec wire(from my harness) to the green wire, just by cutting it and throwing a male connecting clip on there, right?
So instead of a grey plug, I'd just have the little connector.

That'll work right? dont see why it wouldnt...

Looking good man... sorry I missed your call earlier and you should've said something to me about an o2 sensor lol!!

lol damn it!! hahaha....

naa it's ok, a buddy here in town is giving me one today...

thats funny bro. I might as well clean out your garage!

BTW fellas, I'll post an update tonight.
I'm out of town right now, but yesterday I connected the ECU and ran the vtec wires(today is o2 sensor day, the reason I'm out of town.. getting it and MTFluid).
I'm having some trouble getting it to start however. It WILL turn over, but I think my wire order on my spark plug wires may be off.

I'm going to try and throw my A6 dizzy back on this evening. hopefully I can get it to bolt up... for somereason I remember it NOT wanting to line up in more than 1 bolt or so... we'll see.

Expect an official update and perhaps a video of it turning over for diagnostic purposes..

Not that it matters since you got a conversion harness but..

OBD0 vtec harness's came with the square single wire vtec plug so how you have it plugged up on the firewall isnt right. your vtec plug on the motor itslef was cut so it wouldnt be used anyways.

since you said you are running a b16 the 2ndarys wont be used. those are for h22 or gsr

you also dont have the map sensor plugged up or the vac line ran.
you need to unplug the map sensor on the firewall (round 3 pin plug in 2nd pic) and plug it into the map on the throttle body (less to mess with instead of running the vac line to the intake from the firewall map)

Update 6/27:

Car still won't start up. I've traced it to the fuel pump not turning on.
Wires have power, but it's not turning on.

I've checked over the wires, the #1 fuse, and it's still not turning on...

Any suggestions?
-Andrew

test the fuel pump relay somehow, or try another relay that has the same part number if there is one on the car....

if all else fails, since the pump should have the common ground to chassis, run a spare wire to the fuel pump and connect the other end to a fuse in the ACC circuit....ghetto I know, but if it works till you have time to trouble shoot the system later....

the main relay is near the hood latch....its square right under the dash, its tucked above the hood latch, feel around and ull get it
