Andrew's engine swap (pics)

that actually brings up a good point that I didn't think of either, I had bought a set of fat fives and all the sudden when I got up around 30 or so my car started shaking bad and when i would brake it was even worse, I thought it just being because they were bigger because rex's come with 14's, these were 15's. Well I have 17's on now and its all fine, and found out that the fatties weren't balanced for shit. so yeah, try that too, that could definately be your problem.

Well it really feels like the axles are 'jumping'.
We put in the rear mount bolt(PITA) and it's still doing it.(it was "in", but I couldn't find the threads, but it's all good now)

I honestly think it's got to do with the Full Race TBar affecting the Toe of the wheels.
I just need to start measuring. If I can get it close to straight (at least enough to get me to the allignment shop) then I'll be happy.

I've never heard of jumping axles..

If you get the tbar and stuff adjusted, do you know if the alignment shop will further adjust it to get it more aligned?

No, I can't say for sure what they'll do to it, but I hope they can help me out. if I can't do it.
Full-Race recommends getting your car alligned after installing it, so obviously it messes with stuff...

I'll play around with it. I sure 'nuff hope thats the problem.....

yes because then if I decide to do your exact swap and I have a problem, then I'll ask you how you fixed it lol

that probably won't happen but the more information you have on anything always seems to put you in a better position, especially in the "in case" area.

So when are you gonna take it to the shop and have it checked out?

And really, WHERE are you gonna take it? I would want to take it to someplace where they have adjusted stuff like your's before, ya know? Probably gonna be hard to find one so you'll have to go to some hole in the wall crap place where they will just screw you

I planned on Sirmon's Allignment. Thats where we take all of our other cars, but I don't know if they Cater to imports very well. I'd probably just like to find them at a time when I can STAY there and watch what they do.

I sure hope I can be ready for Friday! I'll try man. If nothing else I'd like to go and watch you run!

thats somethin that really needs people who've done stuff like yours before, cuz any old joe schmoe place will be like oh yeah we're an alignment shop we can take care of it and then when they look at it and haven't done anything like yours on a car like yours before, you end up with a car with the wheels on sideways or somethin retarded
