to me thats heavy... my car weighs about 2094 lbs in stock form.. Civic VX FTW!! :D

6 hundred something pounds makes a hell a difference. Take the gsr motor drop it in a hatch and you'll see a diffrence.

I believe it was Terrance that told me that 100lbs is about equal to 1/10th of a second.
But all this talk about his car being heavier doesn't explain why his trap speed is the same.

I could be imagining things, but when I put my subs and passenger seat back in, it seemed like my car had a slight lag, but definitely noticeable, and when I have a passenger, well yeah.

Ok, enough weight talk.

I read a neat little article on stealthmodeperformance.com about DIY Alignment. It inspired me to go ahead and make sure my traction bar is set right. that way it eliminates the traction bar being at fault.

I've got the drivers side axle out right now.
I also pulled the rear mount out completely and am going to grind/cut/beat in the rear crossmember to give the rear mount some more room(it was touching. I didn't do it when I did the swap b/c the Civic I pulled the B16 out of didn't have it done, so i didn't think I needed to, and I just plain forgot. :p)

I haven't worked at all this week, and I still haven't had any time to work on the car very much.

I'll take some pics this weekend as I do more work.

Update:
I trimmed the rear crossmember and beat it in for some extra clearance:

And I now have both axles in(new ones). I guess it just needed time to sit there and think about it's life before it wanted to go in, because it just popped in and I didn't seem to have any trouble. GRR!!

This one's for Terrance: Are you happy now? Got the MP3 in and tuned. Sounds good. ^_^ however I still can't get the rear pre-amps to work. maybe it's something with my amp. idk.

looks sexy. super sexy. I used to have the fatty's on mine, I loved them but they later paid some bills for me lol.

Heh, yeah I like 'em. I woldn't mind changing them out for some Rota's again or something, but I like how thy look OEM.

I'm still having the wierd problem, so I'm not driving it now. but I'm going to try that DIY alignment probably today and see if that helps any.
Then I'm going to take apart my EX knuckles/DA front brakes and prep them for sand blasting(I'll do it myself at school) and painting, followed by new wheel bearings/ball joints. pics lata!

Thank you.

And it must be the amp.. We'll check it out next time your down here or I'm up there.

Enj0y 160+ songs on one cd now :)

Heck yeah man. I'm gonna start ripping my albums to my computer in my room and start mixing up some tight beats.

Anyway- I just wanted to show you guys kinda what I'm working with here. This is what my shop looks like right now. I've still got to build the table-top-work area, and more storage area, but it's looking pretty good so far.

Sorry for this one being blurry, but this is where my car sits.

Oh, and I also did a little more work today on my EX knuckles/DA front brakes. I got them all disassembled and ready for blasting. I'm taking them to school tomorrow, and might have time to blast 'em.
I set up a station on our beerpong/// I mean ping pong table.

Bright red baby!!!! I like the looks of some sexy red calipers.

I was thinking Red or Gold....

Red sounds good. I'll pick up some caliper paint on my way home. =B (lizard tongue thing..)

example of gold: (taken from this thread on h-t.

I've thought about it. Black, Silver(not flashy, more grey than anything.), Gold or Red are my only colors I would do.

I guess I just think it's a waste to go through all the trouble of blasting them and whutnot and making them look good and hide them with black paint. I think every little thing I do that like that will make the car what I want it to be.
I'm thinking gold. It's growing on me :p

Black or Gold.
I've got plenty of time to decide... so no rush.

Hehe... my buddy just went to the junkyard and found a different type of gold.

-That and a rebuild kit, and I'll have me a good turbo for at or under $150.
The compressor is a little small, but I think it'll be ok for what I want out of it.

-And I bought a boost gauge, vacuum manifold, and just messaged a guy for a DSM BOV.
-Plus theres a guy here in town with an old school drag log manifold. He's asking $150 shipped, but I might could get him down to $100/120 since I'm an acquaintance of his. PIC I'd just make a blockoff plate for the external WG flange.

-I'm contemplating running w/o an intercooler w/ some "7" range plugs. Any objections? It just crossed my mind.... it would be so much easier...

-
As far as injectors, I'll try and find either some NA DSM ones(310cc) or some 450 blue tops. whichever is cheapest.

i've seen several turbos at junk yards.. are the ones on Probe GTs any good.. if so i'll go and yank them to resell..
