Actually the shell never left my yard. We didn't even sign the title, yet.
I think I'm going to buy one of those ETD bars since they redid they're design, I think I'll be fine using it.(I've heard some horror stories about them breaking. Actually happened to a fellow crx buddy of mine) It's like $260 shipped or somewhere around there.

Eh. It's part of it. He wanted a new windshield in the Civic; wasn't in the deal. So I offered to just give it back and call it off. that worked.
No big deal. I know him well. He's a good guy and helps me out a lot when I need an extra set of hands.

Plus it kind of works out good in a sense, too.
1) I get to see how much of a difference the traction bar actually makes (cause I didn't even spin second gear. it BARELY chirped!)
2) I think it will help Terrance out with his situation. I think he'll end up with the civic with a little beater engine after we paint it.
3) We get some painting experience as well as get to save another EF.

Don't worry, be happy now.
doo-do-do-doo-dodo-dodo-dooooo

well as long as some good is coming out of the un-done deal, then I guess it's no problem.

My grandpap had one of those singing fish that sang that song in his hallway, kinda narrow, hanging on the wall, and whenever anyone would walk past it'd start up and scare them to death, and he'd get a good laugh.

I hate that damn thing though haha

Terrance if you get the civic, I had planned to do a JDM front end on it. Looks like this:

So thats what it would look like with the GT3's on one!

Damn, thats a sexy lil machine.

And Andrew, I was thinking abotu grabbing some sand paper, some primer.. and rattle canning it white.
It would look better than what it does now

All you need to paint is the hood and gas door cap.
Paint 'em gloss black and wax the entire car. Get the body lines straight and that thing will look pretty sexy.

BTW guys. Tell me what you think of this side-skirt/front lip combo. It's the Password front lip and Xenon sides:

I think it looks HOT.

CRX's are such sexy lil beast machines.. The one above is no exception either. And I like the paint scheme too.
Question is... Will t3h m3gg13 like it?

Other than that, it's tits<---------------First time I've used that phrase. Just trying it out for size ;)

Update on today's progress. I've got a bunch of little things I've been working on... painting the valve cover, swapping out the front crossmembers, finishing the wire tuck, axle binding-troubleshooting/repair... etc etc.
Here's the latest:

Valve cover:
Looking good! I'll wetsand it and hit it with a final coat and that'll be it. The color is kind of "boring", but I think it'll look alright. I can always change it. If I do, I'll probably powdercoat it instead of painting.

Front crossmember: Got the stock one back on. (sucks don't it?)

And you can see here where I had to cut up and beat in the radiator supports.

Firewall plugs. For those that are too cheap to get the Honda block-off grommets. lol.
First off get some sheetmetal:

Paint it black on one side:

And install.

Wire Tuck : Made LOTS of progress today. Got the harness finished and installed! That means the engine bay wiring is DONE except for blocking off the heater core coolant lines. I sent all of the wiring through the heater hoses grommet. Much cleaner and Much more professional looking than my original. (Almost no electrical tape except for every 6" or so on the wire-tubing.

Interior shot. Got a bit more stuff to do, but this is the easy part.

E-Bay. You can see it coming out of the heater hole...
I know, I know... get rid of the nasty stock fuel filter... Well it's got to stay for a little while longer... I think I'm waiting on getting another fuel rail with a -6an opening so I can install my stock one back in. The problem is, I don't wanna spend $100 on a freakin fuel rail.

All put back together! (minus a valve cover... ;))

Axles.
I've determined I need to run the 86-89 axles. At least on the drivers side, since it's the one that seems to be binding(just turning by hand). My question:

Will an '86-'89 Integra LS axle fit into a '90-93 midshaft?

Thanks guys.
-Andrew

BTW Terrance, who cares what your wife thinks?!?!? :p

Actually, it looks like the valve cover will be a pretty close match to the intake.

Wow..lot of progress..

looking good...I remember this thread from a long time ago because of smiling about mom helping out. It looks darn near done. Liked the attention to detail, like painting that block-off plate before you (JB Welded?) it in so the inside looked good.

It'll be a little darker than the Intake, but maybe I'll paint it to match the valve cover :)

(JB Welded?).

Anything will work. I just threw some adhesive on it to hold it in place, then today I'm going to take some Liquid Nails or something and put it on the inside. I don't want it too permanent because I'd like to get the HF grommet to block it off. I just wanna get it done asap.

It would work but you will still get some binding. What intermediate shaft do you have?

^ I think it's the stock B16 one. idk.

I'm going to stop by Pick N Pull this week and pull off an '86-89 ls axle and have the outer joint installed on my 90-93 ls axle. (BTW, anyone know of a cool DIY on this sort of thing?)

As far as progress goes, I got the dash almost back in. I've got most of the wiring taken care of and secured. The dash is "in" but not bolted down and stuff. Won't take but a minute, though.

And helped my buddy swap out to some new wheels on his EG8, otherwise I would've had the dash thing done and most of the int. put together, but w/e. :

He's still looking around for a new hood so he can delete the hood pins.
And he just just ordered a complete H-duece-duece swap that should be installed this or next week!

Updates soon. I'm ordering a few little things from Honda/Acura tonight, so I should be driving next week if All goes well!

The sealing bolt is to block off the heater hose on the head, instead of just using a rubber cap (which would eventually fail...)

Like So:

Devins civic is gonna be sick man...

How long till he totals it? 3 months? :p

Probably. If he can't handle a stock altima.... OMG.

BTW guys during lunch break I bolted down the dash and plugged in some connectors.
I'll install my gauge pod bezel onto the center console and finish the interior completely!.

Sometime this week I'll make my way to Pick N Pull. Oh!! Btw I just remembered I have $52 credit there... sweeeeet. I think this axle will be free :p and I'll still have plenty of cash left.
