Thanks Terrance. But how did you measure it? from what point to what point?
57" from inner hub to inner hub?

From spline to spline. Where you see the lil splines start is where th end of the tape is on the other side.

Is that good enough?

And where is the wire harness for the civic man? You removed it when you pulled it :(

yeah It's here at my house. Remember I just pulled a couple more, so I'll have one ready for you soon. You wanted a wire tuck right? I'll just make the harness for you.

OHohohohohohoh... A'ite. Sounds like a plan to me.

Aight so check it. I went back to Pick N Pull to get the axle nut off of the integra(couldn't find it at the house, so I figured I'd left it out there) and couldn't find it anywhere. Later I grabbed for a wrench in my box and picked up an axle nut instead :p (d'oh).
So I go home and try and screw it on and theres NO WAY IN HELL any of the 5 axle nuts I have laying around or the one FROM THE AXLE is fitting on there. at all.
I don't understand. I'll get pics later. The axle is just too "big". The threads on the axle nut won't even slip onto the axle.
<sigh>
This is getting annoying.

Man, you've got the kind of crap that happens to ME, happening to YOU. I guess I finally rubbed off on ya.

Bwaa ahahahahahah!!

BTW, I'll be up there Sunday. Talked with Max last night and he's figured out why Vtec studders a little bit and has to change a couple of things (a lil re-tuning). I MIGHT be going to the dyno either later Sunday or Monday evening after work.

:)

Have you been talking to Tony and keeping him acknowledged(sp) about the evening Dyno time?
Surely you have...

Anyway. Just gimme a call when you get into town and I'll make sure to be there with you guys.

Gimme a break man!! Yes I have. Sunday or Monday will be fine for him. It depends on Max

I got a few things done yesterday.

Changed the axle seal-

Put in the stock SIR axle after removing the rubber seal and ABS ring. I was turning the wheel and stuff but I think I still have some binding issues...

Oh and I plugged 1 of the coolant hoses (the inlet to the heater core) with the Honda plug I bought earlier.

mmmm... stealthy!

Moved my ground from the front of the head to the back:

I also installed a pusher fan off of a Mercedes:

Just need to figure out the best way to cap off this line:

So everything is back together

Moving the ground looks good. I might try that with mine.

Which coolant line is the one you still need to figure out how to cap? We might be able to come up with some better ideas.

Dude.. I like the moving the ground to the back idea as well.

And I should have bought a fan.. I don't know why I didn't :(

It's this one:

I was thinking of something like a simple cap like so:

But I haven't seen any around town. I've checked Advanced, Lowes & Home Depot, etc. I guess I need to call Napa, autozone and pepboys next.
I figured thats probably the cheapest way to do it.

NVM I got it. Napa had some bypass caps that worked perfect. (3/4" ID btw)

However, a guy on H-T said this regarding these plugs:

I wouldn't use that cap, my friend had one on his LS-T. We were breaking the motor in and the cap busted from the pressure and got coolant all over his manifold and all over the freshly painted bay. Sitting on the side of the highway at 2 o clock in the morning in the middle of nowhere is no fun haha.
So IDK.... I think I'll put a hose clamp on there good and tight and I don't think I'll have any problems. As it is, the spring clamp is holding it down pretty tightly...

Take out the hose bib, measure the threads, then get a plug from a plumbing supply/hardware store.

Edit: wait it's part of the thermostat housing right? In that case, you could get some copper pipe with an ID slightly larger than the bib's OD and solder it on :shrug2:
Better yet, cut it off and tap the hole for a plug. That would be much cleaner, and if you wanted to use it again you could screw in a short piece of pipe for a hose bib.

Hmm.... Thats a pretty big tap. I'd have to buy one.
Were you talking about a copper cap? hmm...

I sure wish it was something I could unscrew/plug like the front port....

EDIT:

tee it off into another line.

That sounds like an easy enough task. I could Tee it into maybe the "U" shaped coolant hose maybe.

I'll be ripping my axle/midshaft out in the next few days(might be able to get to it today) and take it to Max's and compare the two, just to make sure it's exactly what I'm lookin for.

I'll update soon.

The nitrous... I'm going to hold off on it right now. I need to focus on a couple other things in life right now, so I'm not going to spend much more money on my rex until after my vacation. Intercontinental travel isn't cheap nowadays...

I fixed it!
All it needed was the 90-93 midshaft. Took it out last night and had some fun. No problems except a drippy upper radiator hose.

Pics and ripper vids soon!
