I'm running es100's, too. 195/50/15's. They had about 1,500 miles when I ran.
I had some bad wheel hop issues too. especially on the launch, I had to back off a lot, hence my 2.6 60ft's.

Sounds like our setups are pretty similar!

Just to keep his lil thread goin.. Andrew and I played some this weekend.

First from a dig.. I got the jump on him and it stayed that way untill we stopped. He was about at my door. I wasn't pulling on him nor was he catching me.

Second run, from a roll.. Low MPH, around 10-15.. He squirted ahead of me, I was at his door, at the launch. It was identical after that.. Untill I missed 3rd I never miss too Feel pretty stupid

I think I was either spinning on my part( doubt it) or it was the uber awesome d16 torque coupled with being 600 lbs lighter that made the difference from the roll.

Lots o' fun Stats are 1-1 for both of us

Frankly, I don't believe you.
Why?

Because Andrews car BEFORE the engine swap and build would have been raped by his car NOW.

Matter of fact, we did race before and I pulled on him and never stopped pulling until we let off. Thats when he was stock.

You may have kept up with a n00b who had a lousy car, but you can't say you can hang with low - high 15 second cars.. Not with you being stock.

**Edit** Matter of fact... Show us a time slip with you all nice and stock running mid 15's.

x2. I ran him in when my A6 was 100% stock, and he raped me... bad.
Plus he has a blown headgasket.
weak GSR > stock D16A6

I think I have some plans up my sleeve that will assist me in killing many GSR's...

Turbo D action anyone???

??
I have I/H/E and I'm putting down what bone stock GSR's do from the factory. I'm a good 10+ horsies shy of where I should be. My head gasket is hurtin me

And yes, if you stick to your plan, you will kill many GSR's

I was thinking you had the stock 91 SI engine.. not a swap (reading pwned me).
You have a swap, thats different. Compaing yourself to Andrew, thats one thing because yoru cars are similar weights.

Comparing your car to mine, thats different.. I dare say I've got over 800 lbs on you. 40 HP more, yes, but ANdrew can attest, since he was in the car, my buddy in a SVT Focus pulled on me with Andrew riding and I pulled on him whenver it was just me.
Thats 150 lb difference cost me almost 2 tenths that run.

We were saying stock motor/car(like my SI was when the A6 was in it.)
I thought you meant your stock CAR, not a swapped stock motor. my bad

Update 6/6/07:

I talked with KMS and got my compression information I was looking for.
10.5:1 pistons, and they took the other .5:1 off of the head.

I want to go boost now.
I think it'd be cool to have my compression close 10:1 or a little less. Want to have high(er) compression and low(er) boost.

Options:
A. Pull the head off and install a thicker cometic head gasket.
B. Pull these pistons out and install some lower comp ones.
C. Find a different head(not decked as much as mine), and do a butt-load of work porting/polishing/swapping valve train.

The head gasket would obviously be my first choice.
Need some imput!

Heres some info from Cometic's site.

Thats not going to be enough to lower my compression .5:1. But would an A6 work?
Stock Z6 is 0.036".
Stock B7/A6 is 0.048".
But can I use an A6 HG on a vtec head??

I also found this site:

Honda Head Gasket | Always In Stock

They show their Mr. Gasket HG's to be
Quote:
Stackable, Nitrile Coated Outer Layers, Embossed, Steel Inner Spacer, 75mm Gasket Bore, 0.50mm To 1.75mm Compressed Thickness
But it's only 75mm bore. I'm 75.5mm....
Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments??

Thanks guys
-Andrew
