I just messaged him, so I'll let you know when he's done with the manifold.
What do I offer for a custom built log mani with a 38mm wastegate??
I just threw $150 out there as a starting price, but I have a feeling he'll want around $200/$250/more..
Although he's pretty reasonable.. He said $450 shipped for the Ramhorn w/ wastegate flang and all....

I never said I wasn't... I just said maybe I'll save my money for now to get another car.
But, yeah, I'm buying parts.

These girls are getting too close... I'm gonna go ahead and get this car stuff out of my system

After the times I ran Friday.. I'm beginning to contemplate sticking the 351 in another ranger...

If I can't get my car into the 14's or if I'm not CLOSE to 170 hp when I get dyno'd... I don't think I'll put another penny towards performance in my GSR.

I agree, Terrance. Do it. Keep your car clean and pick up a real toy.

I'm gonna give Max a chance to do his stuff...

If it doesn't work out, I'll paint it and let you and Eli play with Honda's... I'll be out of the import game. It would no longer be my toy.

Thats how disappointed and pissed off I am at my car and the build.

I cannot recount how many slips I've seen over stock GSR's either in the low 15's or high 14's. I'm not asking for 12's or anything unrealistic.. I just want to run what I should run and not be slower than what I was w/only a freaking header and a blown headgasket.

And I don't consider 27xx lbs that heavy, considering it only weighs less than 100lbs more than the coupe.

6 hundred something pounds makes a hell a difference. Take the gsr motor drop it in a hatch and you'll see a diffrence.

I believe it was Terrance that told me that 100lbs is about equal to 1/10th of a second.
But all this talk about his car being heavier doesn't explain why his trap speed is the same.

I could be imagining things, but when I put my subs and passenger seat back in, it seemed like my car had a slight lag, but definitely noticeable, and when I have a passenger, well yeah.

Ok, enough weight talk.

I read a neat little article on stealthmodeperformance.com about DIY Alignment. It inspired me to go ahead and make sure my traction bar is set right. that way it eliminates the traction bar being at fault.

I've got the drivers side axle out right now.
I also pulled the rear mount out completely and am going to grind/cut/beat in the rear crossmember to give the rear mount some more room(it was touching. I didn't do it when I did the swap b/c the Civic I pulled the B16 out of didn't have it done, so i didn't think I needed to, and I just plain forgot. )

I haven't worked at all this week, and I still haven't had any time to work on the car very much.

I'll take some pics this weekend as I do more work.

Update:
I trimmed the rear crossmember and beat it in for some extra clearance:

And I now have both axles in(new ones). I guess it just needed time to sit there and think about it's life before it wanted to go in, because it just popped in and I didn't seem to have any trouble. GRR!!

Then I gave the car a gooooood cleaning. Eveything but vacuuming:

This one's for Terrance: Are you happy now? Got the MP3 in and tuned. Sounds good. however I still can't get the rear pre-amps to work. maybe it's something with my amp. idk.

Heh, yeah I like 'em. I woldn't mind changing them out for some Rota's again or something, but I like how thy look OEM.

I'm still having the wierd problem, so I'm not driving it now. but I'm going to try that DIY alignment probably today and see if that helps any.
Then I'm going to take apart my EX knuckles/DA front brakes and prep them for sand blasting(I'll do it myself at school) and painting, followed by new wheel bearings/ball joints. pics lata!
