Dude.. Check this out. I DL'd a new drawing program and have been playing with it this afternoon.
Not half bad considering I've never used a program like this before today. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...kplugcover.jpg I almost feel smart! Last edited by mac_24_seven; 10-25-2007 at 04:32 PM. |

Terrance thats pretty cool, man! Are you thinking of doing some stuff like that?
Heres the pics I promised! Got my gauge bezel holder thingy almost done; Just gotta paint it and attach it somehow. (probably just use some super glue and something else ghetto.) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Boost > Oil > Voltage or Water. Probably voltage. ![]() Then I finished masking off the VC and did a little priming. (4 coats to be exact. laid it on extra thick in the middle area.) It's not going to be perfect. I accidently grinded a little too much in a few little places. Maybe a sticker or something can fix that You might actually not even notice it when I get the darker grey on there. idk. I'm not too worried about it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That'll do. -Andrew |

Looks good!
So what's the final color going to look like? And the gauge setup looks cool too. Are you ditching your head unit though? Or is that space the pocket underneath? __________________

You should do a skim coat of bondo to fill those gouges, tho I'm not sure how bondo would hold up to the heat.
If they're not terribly deep, you can put a thick coat of filler primer on, then block sand til you hit the aluminum around the gouge, and repeat until it's flat. __________________

I'll be gone 'till Sunday night, but may have computer access at the Hotel.
Heres what I got accomplished yesterday: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I just plugged the Coolant hoses. I've got to wait until I either 1) get a rubber Cap, and 2) get the Honda Plug for it. (I'll give the part # in a couple days, don't really have time to go find it.) |

Making a track car man. This baby's gonna see Road Atlanta and a few others nearby.
![]() I'm buying a DD soon. This'll be the official toy. I'll have that Traction Bar off soon. I was in GA all weekend, so I didn't get any time to do it; my bad. |

Couple weeks ago I bought a 93 altima gxe 5spd for $300 bucks, granted it was off my brother. May look like a grandma car, but it came with new tires and permission to rip into the rex

-Got the Traction bar off and the stock one installed (after some grinding, torching, and beating of the front torque mount
-Put a few coats of the grey paint on the valve cover -Made a few templates to cut out of sheetmetal tomorrow at school to act as Firewall plugs. (going to paint them black and silicone them to the firewall from the inside.) Pics later or tomorrow. Sorry for the tease! __________________

Actually the shell never left my yard. We didn't even sign the title, yet.
I think I'm going to buy one of those ETD bars since they redid they're design, I think I'll be fine using it.(I've heard some horror stories about them breaking. Actually happened to a fellow crx buddy of mine) It's like $260 shipped or somewhere around there. |

Eh. It's part of it. He wanted a new windshield in the Civic; wasn't in the deal. So I offered to just give it back and call it off. that worked.
No big deal. I know him well. He's a good guy and helps me out a lot when I need an extra set of hands. Plus it kind of works out good in a sense, too. 1) I get to see how much of a difference the traction bar actually makes (cause I didn't even spin second gear. it BARELY chirped!) 2) I think it will help Terrance out with his situation. I think he'll end up with the civic with a little beater engine after we paint it. 3) We get some painting experience as well as get to save another EF. Don't worry, be happy now. doo-do-do-doo-dodo-dodo-dooooo |

well as long as some good is coming out of the un-done deal, then I guess it's no problem.
My grandpap had one of those singing fish that sang that song in his hallway, kinda narrow, hanging on the wall, and whenever anyone would walk past it'd start up and scare them to death, and he'd get a good laugh. I hate that damn thing though haha __________________
