I just bought some studs from Lightning Motorsports. Literally yesterday. They don't ship "signature required" like SBR, so it should be there for ya.

T-Bolt clamps are a good idea. I'm using half and half on my install. (mainly because I'm much too cheap to buy all t-bolt clamps. Anyone know where to get them cheap?)

I'm planning on a turbo-timer. Today after I get done with meetings, I'll do some research and let you know. The best ones are ones that have a turbo-oil temp sensor, but those cost a bundle....

Ok, so.

Turbo timers effectively allow your insurance company to find you at fault should your car get stolen. Screw that.

I'm just going to take it easy for the last 2km or so, and finish listening to the current song playing on the stereo before I turn off the car.

Wow the stock SRT intercooler fits nearly perfect, and seems to be properly sized, where did you pick that up from?

Locally, off Tallahassee's Import forums. I paid $40 for it!

Re-he-heealy? Huuuh. I'll have to call my insurance company and double check with them. (maybe different companies have different policies eh?)

I know Jegs and Summit have them for about $4/ea. Most places are $10-12/pair. So it's a pretty good deal.

And boy-oh-boy do I have some exciting news for you people. But Your going to have to wait until I get back from Atlanta to see what it is! (That being the deal works out fine! ). I'll just hint that: you guys are going to hate me for finding this deal.

Pull it out! Not very hard.
-Delete the Dashpot Solenoid valve (2 wire plug 1 black and 1 green). you can just cut the wires and tuck it away in the harness. It will NOT cause you to get a CEL.
-Run a 1/4" hose from the fuel tank vent under the car (about 2-3' long or so.)
-Then just run a simple line from the manifold to the MAP sensor.
-Plug the vacuum nipples on the throttle body. (the ones where the red braided hose is.

It's really simple. Just remove and cap. Remove and cap. just DO NOT cap the fuel tank vent. VERY important! Otherwise you have a bomb waiting to pop(called a gas tank)

What does deleting the charcoal canister do? Is it just for shaving purposes, or does it benefit the car in anyway?

It just cleans up the engine bay, there is no performance gains from removing it.

I've already got a good idea of what's going on. He's been too quiet, and he's been tiptoing around some words for a bit.

Nope, not whatcha thinkin man Unrelated to his build completely, actually. Nothing on his end has changed.

However, the direction my car was going has suddenly got a " boost" in the opposite direction.

-Manifold (like DRAG cast)
-TIAL 38mm WG
-BOV
-Piping w/ couplers and T-bolts(stealing these clamps Terrance!)

-chipped/tuned P72 setup for the 5lbs the WG spring is set at.

All for "free" - stuff I had in the shop.

Nononono.

Here's the story.

Cast of characters:
Andrew
Terrance
SOL
n00b

In a galaxy, far far away.... I was on a local import site. SOL (sh*t outta luck) was selling a B16 head. I checked the thread and somebody had asked if he had sold it, as it had been posted for a few days. He says yes and that he wished he had NOT sold it because about 8 hours after he sold it, a guy offered him a complete turbo system set up for a GSR (what I have) to trade for the B16 head. Seeing this as an opportunity, I (Terrance) pm'd SOL and asked him for the guys name who offered him the turbo setup, since I had a spare GSR. SOL replies and gives me the name and site he was on when he was offered the turbo.

I sign up (Import Atlanta) and message n00b. Before I finish the message, I call Andrew and ask him if he wants me to give n00b his contact info, since really, he's interested in turbo stuff more so than me. Helpin a bro out, ya know? He said yes, so I gave n00b his contact info. I proceed to forget about it.

Andrew calls me the next morning (yesterday) and proceeds to tell me n00b wants to do it! He was going to Atlanta that day ANYWAY (where n00b lives) and so it made it that much easier. he kicker though, was he had decided to give it to me. See, remember the engine that our buddy Devin busted, when the cams broke? That was Andrews B16 head, it was fine except it needed new valves.

SO, Andrew gave n00b the B16 head with the intake manifold and a bunch of random stuff along with my GSR ecu from the wrecked car I bought. They met last night, traded parts and there ya go.

The End.

Ahhh, the story makes sense. But I still don't get how someone building a D16 is going to use a kit designed for a b16....
