Yes, Crome, sorry :P We've talked about it a lil before. We each have a spare laptop, both of our ECU's are chipped and socketed already, so were good to go for the most part.
We'll see what qbert says in a lil bit. |

Got my outlet figured out:
![]() Might need to cut this out with the dremel: ![]() Picked up some more stuffs for my oil drain: (the AN fittings were cheap so I bought some extra) ![]() Added my vacuum manifold: ![]() ![]() Got the crazy bends figured out thanks to my box of couplers, sawzall, and other random crap. ![]() ![]() ![]() Heres how close the piping is to the manifold. I'll probably heat wrap it. ![]() I was going to pull my head off and drop the new gasket in, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I was running out of juice. Plus I start school Monday so I'm trying to keep the car as close the running as possible. I'll do the head gasket swap tomorrow. I'm going to reuse my bolts since I haven't ordered them yet. Since I'm only running low boost I think I'll be ok for now. I don't think this little turbo will cause head lifting ![]() |

Hell yeah, heat wrap would make it look better. But who cares about looks, all go no show.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about my headgasket/head from lift either. I wouldn't worry about it for now, but if you decide to turn up the boost, I'd drop a new gasket in.
Have you done a leakdown? It's looking good. You'll be boosted before me by the looks of it. I haven't gotten my drain yet. Last edited by awptickes; 08-13-2008 at 12:28 AM. |

![]() n00b. ------------- And Andrew, I'm gonna have to buy another radiator myself... Mine isn't gonna fit with the turbo. Such a bummer :P Oh and did dude text you back about the injectors and whatnot? Another thing.... All we need to Datalog in a cable and a laptop w/tuning software. Plug it into the ECU, then to the laptop: BOOM, good to go. **Edit** Well, it's a lil more involved than that, but thast the jest of it. http://www.moates.net/zips/crome/Tun...ME%20v1.03.pdf And one more thing... DL the tabs to "Saints of Los Angeles".. Or heck, just get some tabs for some staind or disturbed or any of the crap I listen to so we can jam out some this weekend! __________________

noob?? I post a link to an interesting youtube video of a nasty F1 turbo and you high and mighty goofballs call me a noob?? Idiots. I've been on the "Internets" longer than many of you little punks have been alive.
I guess my intellect and sense of right and wrong is not worthy in this pool of CAR GODS. Honestly? From what I've seen in the few weeks I've been here, many of you guys are so full of yourselves it's ridiculous. You seriously need to watch your attitudes. Primadonnas on a car internet forum. Now I've seen it all. If this is what HondaSwap is all about, ask the Ops to ban me so you can all sit around and circle jerk your egos together in peace. Ok, great. You had nothing else to add to that.. I mean, you could have at least said something to the effect of.. "Hey, since you guys are tlakin about turbo's, here's a video of some turbo F1 cars. maybe you guys will be as fast as them one day..." Or something to that effect. You let us know what the video was and threw a lil humor into it. Not just some random thing. I know YOU knew what you were thinkin, but we didn't. Maybe we aren't on the same level as you ![]() BTW, any primadonna's posting in this thread? Last edited by mac_24_seven; 08-13-2008 at 11:37 AM. |

I thought his video was a cool find. I seems like Renault was ahead of their time with that car and setup.
I'd LOVE to drive an open-wheeled car. *drool* Thanks for posting it. And don't get upset over Terrance. We say "noob" like we eat food. (all the time, for no apparent reason )Update- I'm welding some -10 bungs today. 2 on the valve cover for crankcase pressure and 1 on the oil pan for the drain line. Also, if anyone can find me the part # to the Prelude nipple thing for the back of the engine I'd be much obliged. I need to order that too so I can continue setting up a catch can. Speaking of which, Terrance, we need to talk about welding me up a "box" can like the "big boys" on H-T. I can provide the -10 fittings if you can do the welding I'm also going to be torching/notching the bumper support and crossmember to clear the radiator and the FMIC. FYI the crossmember will be temporary until I can afford an aftermarket one. And the bumper support- I want to get my hands on an HF support. I remember seeing them and they were tiny! apparently lots of T-EF owners do it. I wanna join the bandwagon. edit: Oh, and hey. I have an opportunity to pick up two (2) 1981/2 Civic Wagons (CVCC) for under $500. Should I do it? Klyph, I'm probably going to pick your brain about the whole thing later. (like how hard it is to wire in a "modern" engine and such. I'm thinking of doing a stock D16Z6 swap into 1 of them (the 5spd one which happens to be in better shape anyway) and using the other as parts. If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, it looks like this: http://hotrod205.files.wordpress.com...icwagon83a.jpg __________________

More cars for "Andrews Used Car Lot"...you should just start your own shop and specialize in engine swaps, any car any engine could be your slogan.
To the guy above, dont get so angry its just the internet. Most of the people here are cool and dont usually mean any harm. |

The first honda I ever drove was a late 70's cvcc...My friend had one and he was always too drunk to drive so I usually got to do the driving. Ah the good old days when a 15 year old kid in Oklahoma could drive anywhere he wanted without a license. Sorry didnt mean to thread jack with my memories.

Lots of pics. warning!
I mounted the Intercooler yesterday, but today I held up the Bumper support and mentally noted what needed to be done to make it right. ![]() ![]() Next I dropped my oil pan and was thoroughly shocked by how clean it was under there. WOW. Just look! (I didn't clean at ALL before taking this pic.) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ... I know right??? 8k miles = like new. Anyway. Then I pulled the Valve Cover to put the vent fittings on. ![]() ![]() Torched and welded a steel plate on the crossmember to clear the DP: ![]() Torched and welded the bumper support. Raised it about 3/4" to give the FMIC some room to breathe. ![]() After some paint: ![]() Test fit: ![]() Then my buddy Ryan stopped by: ![]() Ok. It's about to get ghetto in here. HMT FAUX LIFE! Custom $8 downpipe from Advanced Auto! woot ![]() After some modification and welding (yes I actually welded it and then put JB weld on it to seal it(cause I was just using my crappy flux cored wire b/c I'm out of Argon)) ![]() Then I JBWelded my fittings on: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And a couple for fun ![]() ![]() |
