22s on the GTR are not tooooooo out there considering it was designed to come stock with 20s

I agree, 22s is over kill, then again he ran a 10 second 1/4 mile.
As far as weight goes, they might be lighter then stock if the guy spent the right money on them.

With a car of that size, the wheel's weight wont affect it as greatly. Now if you had 22's on a civic(that is if possible) then it would heve a huge effect on the performance. GTR's weigh alot compared to little civic.

haha, kenny tran built the car. too bad the warranty is out the window. he's going to hate life when it comes time to buy a $20k tranny.

I really don't think he cares about his warranty.

The car is making less power then I thought it would, few more lbs on my car and I'd make the same power, too bad the engine wouldn't be happy about it.

i dont' think so either. too bad nissan screwed the pooch with the launch control.

I think Nissan had to do what they had to do.

It's not easy to build a trans that's good for everyday use yet still handle 480+WHP even more so with something like launch control.

well, then they should have upped the cost so that they could provide a better tranny. i think if people can afford $80k, then they can afford $90,000 or $100,000 to have something that doesn't break.

But then they'd have a harsh tranny that people would bitch about.
It's hard to build something strong that is still very smooth and street worthy.
Plus the tranny does hold up to the power, just not the launch control, try taking an EVO or STI and dumping the clutch on it over and over and over and over again making sure to time it just right so you have the most power going to the ground with out spinning the tires, in other words putting all of the force into the transmission.

If anything Nissan should add an option for a harsher more powerful trans that can handle the launch control but for a trade off of streetabilty. then again, most people who are buying the GTR don't give a damn and will buy it anyways because they want it.

The wheels seem ridiculous at first but Jeffie is right... if the car comes with 20s stock then 22s are not that crazy.
