bahahahhahaha! Go read E's posts, then come back and tell me that Ford installs Nitrous on it's PI crown vics. I don't care what your uncle does for some random cop who wants to make his city bought police car faster and less efficient, but the larger companies who modify PI crown vics do not do engine modifications, and neither does Ford.

What makes you think my uncle does it for one random cop? Did I ever state that? He modifies police cars for the entire force of 3 towns because thats about all it can handles. That includes doing pretty much EVERYTHING to the car, it comes in blank except for the engine work. Lights, sirens, decals, winch, etc.

And nitrous is a not so uncommon thing to have in police cruisers, I don't care if you haven't seen it on the history or discovery channel.

For the record, what E posted wasn't labeled as the "police interceptor package" which is the name for the performance package.

Anyone who thinks they can "run" from the police in a car is stupid. unless you live in a county with 5 officers on duty at one time. Then you "might" beable to ditch them.
Sure do love Lufkin

4 or 5 cops on duty, no helicopters, nothin' fancy. If you can drive worth a shit and know your way around town, it's no problem to ditch the cops here.
[/b][/quote]

Except if they got your plate, then they'll just be at your house waiting or if you're heading into a neighboring town you can't out speed radio communications.

I'd like to clear up some major confusion here.

That's not a State Patrol STi. :P

It's an STi owned by a guy who works for the CSP as a photographer. They dressed the car up like that as a promotion for the local dragstrip (Bandimere National Speedway), for their "Alive At 25" Test N Tune nights.

I know this guy.
I've ridden in his car.
I partied with him this past weekend.
That blonde in the picture is his ex.
You all just got pwned. :P

Don't feel bad, this is about the 487394839 forum those pictures have been posted on, saying "OMG It's a po-lice Sti!!!11!1!!!!"

Damn got it in before I saw this thread...lol.

Those pictures are like over a year and a half old, I don't think the guy even has the graphics on his car anymore.

Nope, they were only on his car for a very short time. Pretty much for the photo shoot, and that's it.

You'd remember him if you've met him before. He's quite a character.

I think a while back, I heard of a blue CTR that was used by the police too. I would have to see it to believe it though. Some idiot around here (maybe Northglenn) runs from the cops quite often. He drives a gay ass Talon. I'll laugh when he gets caught someday.

CTR?? Since when were CTRs imported to the states?

Yeah, police do promo cars all the time - And with DARE program, using confiscated cars is the norm. so if they take a CTR, it's theirs to do with what they want.

I got pulled over by a Dare car about 10 years back. Lights and all - IT IS a real cop car.

They have a newer ford taurus cruiser in my town that has a giant decal across the back reading: THIS VEHICLE WAS SEIZED FROM A DRUG DEALER.

Damn, way to rub it in his face. Take his car away, then turn it into a fooking cruiser.. LOL.

In new mexico the dare vehicle was a Chevy Astro with a murderous stereo system, hydrolics, and big chrome 18's.. (18's were huge shit back in the day) It was actually pretty cool for back in the day.

They seized a Taurus from a drug dealer ? Obviously not a very good drug dealer.

Pretty smart if you ask me.. He bought it new, paid cash, left it completely stock. Now the dumb dealers are the ones parked in front of their shak-ass house with a brand new hummer on 23's. Cops just dont eyeball a white, stock taurus.

His paying cash is probably what gave it away, though.

Nothing much done to it lately, since I'm poor. I got some STi seats (front and back) to match the WRB exterior, and it looks pretty damn hot. I'm currently trying to source some STi door cards to match the seats.

I've got a grounding kit and a brake master cylinder support waiting to be installed, but that's about it.

Cool deal... what are the plans anyway?

I actually just purchased a dc 4-1 header and an RS*R exmag catback. I still gotta figure out how to put on my rear upper strut brace and get my s2 short throw installed. It should all be installed early October since I'll have help doing it.

Come to downtown Houston. Hummers and Escalades with 24 inch wheels parked outside of the projects...

I actually just purchased a dc 4-1 header and an RS*R exmag catback. I still gotta figure out how to put on my rear upper strut brace and get my s2 short throw installed. It should all be installed early October since I'll have help doing it.

How hard is that? Four bolts... all that is pretty easy stuff. :P

cause I have to take off the rear interior pieces to figure out exactly how they sit... since I've never taken any of those pieces off of this car before.

Oh. I just pulled off the interior pieces, busted out the 4.5 inch hole saw that I used to drill into computer cases, then went to town. I don't know if you have any removable panels that a bar can easily fit through on your EK, but there just might be some. I know my 89 CRX Si had panels that popped out right above the strut towers.
