| My Vtec is biger then urs | Are you using a point and shoot? If you're shooting an SLR what settings are you using? most every picture is under exposed. My main issue with your pictures is I'm not sure what you're trying to tell us, I'm not sure if I should look at the car, the background, or the guy next to the car, or that damn yellow hose that just jumps out at me. The only 2 pictures that were clear to me was the ones of the red pole. The last one could have been good if it was framed better, I want to see the tops of the trees. They add a neat factor to the picture but they're cut off =( |

| My Vtec is biger then urs | Based on the title of the post it sounded like you are or were trying to be a photographer, I wouldn't have said anything if it was listed as pictures from today or pictures my friend took. The pictures look like you're trying but there's a lot of basic rules that are being broken, really bad framing and pretty much no setup to them, just random shots of a bunch of everything in any given picture. It's like going to an art gallery and looking at a painting on the wall. 10 minutes later you give up and say wtf is the artist trying to say here? In your case, everything. Quote:
Next time your out shooting, stop, and think, what do I want this image to say.

| F**k plastic. | Yea I know. The rims aren't even mine, they're my moms for her Accord. I don't like them at all. They look just ok and they fill in the wheel wells nicely but they rub, they're heavy, they jack up the car, they screw up the spedo and there is too much centrifigual force at high speeds so braking sucks. When the winter aluminum 13"s were on it drove better. I'm getting 15"s. Last edited by GlassHeadlights; 03-09-2009 at 12:18 AM. |

| My Vtec is biger then urs | That allows you to adjust aperture and shutter speeds, that's why your exposure was way under. These were taken with my point and shoot. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The #1 things people do who are getting into photography is blame the equipment, either its a point and shoot or my lens is a kit lens or its a crappy lens yada yada yada. Clearly you know how to shoot setup, frame, correct for lighting and shoot photos so I'll stop nagging you.Besides, it was just a point and shoot. |

It seems under exposed but if it was any higher the sunset would be way over exposed, I'm not feeling the stick/tree on the left, if it was the main focal point I would think other wise but it seems to take from the background. What I would have done is waited a bit longer for the sun to go down even more, then take the shoot with a long shutter. It would have made the lake/trees come out while hopefully producing a nice warm sky. This was taken around 8 so it was pretty much as dark as it was going to get. where were a few street lights that put off a bit of light, that's whats giving the sky the color. ![]() Another example of long shutter, taken at around 3:30am. If you have a point and shoot that allows you to adjust shutter speeds and aperture you're set. No doubt having the option to change lens owns > all but for most shooting a point and shoot will do 10x more then the avg shooter will ever do. Again the key point being that you can adjust speeds and such.
