Default Photoshoot of EF
We picked up this 91 Civic Si for $1000 back in October of 07'. The guy before us blew a head gasket and took it to a shop and they recommended re-building the whole motor. They were dumb-ass V8 building ass holes. They rebuilt the head ok but they reused all of the bearings and tourked them down too tight. The motor didn't last for a week and when the guy went back to the shop to get a new motor under warranty they said it wasn't they're falt, thay didn't take apart the block. Well they're parts recipt called for new rings and pistons don't come out without the caps coming off. The guy didn't know enough about cars so he had to sell it. With this being our 8th EF we knew what we were up against. We had a spare D16A6 to put in so we got the motor singing with a D15B2 5 speed transmission with the larger gear ratio for commuting at a lower rpm. The body was in near mint condition with the roof peeling due to the sun but other then that it was a good solid car. Now with near 50,000 miles on it since the new motor there have been no problems. I hope you like my dads simple, clean hatch.

My dad loves his ef. His first car was a 66' Mustang convertable. One night he redlined every gear and ended up blowing his motor. He does the same with his ef and it's as happy as can be.
