I say poor mans type r, although I should have just bought one with what I've put into it. Hope to have it finished in the next couple of weeks waiting on parts to ship, tuning and dyno results later.

Block was put together before I found my digital camera.
GSR block punched 20 over
JE Pistons 12.5.1
Cryo'd Factory GSR Crank and Eagle H beams
Balanced and blueprinted

lol yeah, wanted a power enterprise but they were out so i got the greddy
 
well let me know what your numbers are once tuned. i was thinking about getting some RM cams for my H22 but i cant really find a lot of articles to support spending that kinda cash
 
damn ups rerouted my hondata gasket or the intake manifold would be on right now ... I could have driven 3 hours and picked it up... instead it takes 4 days.
 
1) nice build. i love seeing a spotless engine. i can't wait to see the numbers.
2) what tranny are you using?
3) your engine bay is dirty as hell. shoulda cleaned it with the engine out.
4) nice ludacris cd.

Ok so the bay is really dirty, theres like a waxy buildup i cant get off without industrial solvents and then id have to paint it and I don't want to paint the bay right now.

the trans is a rebuilt GSR

as for Ludacris, thanks it's a mint condition case ... wish i still had the CD.

Don't worry, it makes the engine look even cleaner. Too bad my whole engine bay is that dirty.

Update hondata gasket came in, i for some reason thought they were opaque but I would have been wrong.

Also finished almost all the wiring. The nasty buttconnector is the last wire I need to run (needs to be longer to get to the fuse box). Radiator and fans came in today also I'm going to run them together with a relay so both fans cool but I'm waiting on my overly busy friend to come and weld the lower radiator brackets in for me.

Update from Hy Tech as well, dual bypass acoustic and 22inch resonator should be here by the beginning of next week. (crosses fingers)

Nope 500 whp, lol , no I built it with 220 + in mind. I'm not saying it will make it, but I've taken another guys parts list combed over it and spent a lot more money (lot better parts) and he made 210 on the shops mustang dyno. So who knows, time will tell.
 
i wouldnt use that IM....

i almost bought that same manifold until my friend went to the dyno and lost 5hp and 6-8lbs after switching from a skunk pro IM..


he said it was because thats mostly used as an FI manifold

I've had good reviews from friends turbo and NA on the manifold so I'm sticking with it for now. Maybe after its running I can get one and swap it out and compare. Not saying you're wrong.

Update: after 5 weeks of waiting my cams are in the hands of fedex and should be here this Friday. No more word from Hy Tech and no muffler or resonator yet, hope its here by Friday and i can get everything together with tunning next week but we'll see.
 
update.

did the type r lma's today.
Cam's are here and cam gears are installed, going to try and install them this weekend.

Got my tires mounted and balanced. Azena RT-615's on 15x7 5zigen fn01rc's. Bad pictures but i think they look good (better than the car).

Muffler no word on it yet. I got a hold of him Monday said he hoped to have them out by Friday (hope being the key word). :shrug2:
