lmao. i just spent $140 on my prelude inside shampoo and out side hand wax. dam car looks really good. any how its been sitting in the garage since sunday dont want to drive it just yet. she looks soooo clean!

Wow that is an incredible job. I've never seen paint done so meticulously. I thought Matt did a good job with his paint, but god this guy is just flat out OCD. Definitely pays off though.

I gassed up next a late model BMW the other day. I've seriously peeled oranges that were smoother than the paint on that thing. Does the utter failure of factory paint jobs these days have anything to do with the eco-friendly water based paints they're forced to use? Older vehicles (even budget brands) have way better paint than anything in the showrooms these days.

A body shop owner in Germany told me that because they can't use the same factory paint in a body shop setting, they'll never get the same quality of job, and it was mostly due to the proliferation of the eco-friendly water-based low-hydrocarbon paints. He had absolutely nothing good to say about the new paints. He swore about how it took a day to prep a car now, as opposed to a few hours. Paint sucks now. |
