Please help w/ 89 civic motor swap

Posted 07-05-2008 at 07:49 PM by Scott C.
My 89 civic hatchback has a 97 d16ya7. It ran while I've owned it but since died. No Honda Techs. can figure it out. Do I need an ecu for a 89 or 97? Does it depend on the sensors? Please help, completely lost with a cheap, used car.
