My vtec worked great for about a week, now my vtec no longer hits like it did when I got it. The check engine light came on one night when I was taching gears. When scanned it says vtec malfunction but, my vtec works now you can hear it, I just dont feel it as much. When it first started doing this it acted like the pressure switch,you know where it feels like you hit a second rev limiter. Now I can run my vtec rpms but the vtec just doesnt hit right. At the same time I am having fuel overload, could this have anything to do with it. I just need some starting clues. My buddy was saying it could be my vtec solenoid, like I could take the top off and clean the screen but he said the gasket after doing it was outrageous. If any clues please comment,thanks.
