Okay, your forum suggested a new thread so here it is

I am all for doing things inexpensively-- but what price is one's own labor?

This $50 paint job seems like an awful amount of work--
this guy at
EasyPaintYourCar

has written a retort to this $50 paint job thing and called it
$50 Paint Job MYTH

and it looks pretty thoughtful to me-- and he's got a nice sense of humor too that I like.

This rest of the site is pretty happening too-- I got his cheap ass manual and video, and did my own car easily using his suggested base/clear coat method.
NO SANDING. One day work after my prep--- damn, this has got to be a MILLION times easier than the $50 paint job thing, come on. I spent only money on paint cause I borrowed a gun a compressor-- I mean, who doesn't know somebody with that?
