Default 99-00 rear bumper on 96-98 civic.

Does it fit? Some people say it does, some say it doesn't. I'm in need of a new rear bumper and the only difference I see in the bumpers is that the 99-00 curves a little more on the bottom. Anyone have a 99-00 bumper on their 96-98 coupe/sedan?

I'm thinking the same. I don't really see much of a difference on the top of the bumper. I just want to make sure before I buy it and it has massive gaps.

I've been googling this for the past few minutes and I actually found my thread on google about trying to find this out.

The bumpers are a little different in the "lower lip area". I personally like the look of the 99-00 style better. But yes the 99-00 will fit on the 96-98 civic.

I hope you ordered an OEM bumper, the aftermarket replacement ones fit like garbage.
