Some people like it, some people don't. I personally have NOT tried it(yet), but I made the diagram b/c I know how it's done, and just wanna help all you DIY'ers out there who are looking for something different.

Parts needed:
-Brake Light sockets(two) from a junkyard 'doner' car.
Has to be a brake light, b/c it has two filliments(In our case, it's always on, then still used as blinker)
-6ft of wire, RED if you wanna make it easier on yourself. It's a little more than we'll need, but it's good to have extra.
-Electrical tape/Heat-shrink tubing if you want it to be clean.
-Wire stippers.

Enjoy. Feel free to post pictures of your car if you've done it.
-Andrew
