I think that'll make your car illegal to drive on the streets.....but I'm not sure.

Nah they aren't legal, and if you did it I would suggest riveting it.

Lexan windows are illegal in the street. If you wreck they can't get you out.

Check your local laws first, I know some places you can't do the back for street use.

Do yourself a favor and get the scratch resistant stuff otherwise they will look like ass quickly. Or if you want to go all out http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html/flexite-flat.html

talking shit? isthat what you call me asking him why he would want to do such a modification that would lead him to be un streetlegal for the simple fact of saving a few pounds? Im just trying to help him realize what he may or may not want to spend his money on and whether its gonna be worth it or not.
For that matter where is your worthy input about the situation rather than commenting about what i have to say????? If you dont have anything to do other than TRY to depict what others have to reply about a post than dont post, otherwise help the original poster try to decide what he may or may not want to do, like i did. Other than that your post was completely useless

Yeah and you being the 5th person to post that they are illegal was REAL helpful. I think I was trying to give him moral support and demonstrate that not everyone thinks that it's dumb. So if that was not clear enough for you I'll spell it out....

I plan on using lexan windows as well. You will save much more than 20lbs unlike some people think. In fact if you replace all rear windows with the lexan they will weigh less than a pound all together. This seller on ebay........ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW has been selling the sets for a while. I emailed him and he is very nice and said the lexan is scratch resistant. You also get the choice of having black around the windows or carbon fiber. This seller has a sunroof replacement if you need that as well.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW

So for about $200 bucks you can save a good deal of weight. I believe it is often said that 18lbs of weight is equal to 1hp. That could be incorrect and unfortunately I am not sure what the rear windows and sunroof weight equals combined but I know it's a hell of a lot more than 20lbs. If the 18lbs=1hp saying is correct you could lower your 1/4 mile time a tiny bit just by replacing the rear windows and sunroof and hey, every bit counts imo. You would also have the added benefit of not needing to worry about getting cracked windows or perhaps having your car broken into as easily.

that's why the 2 door 94+ integra's weight almost the same as the 4 doors, because of that heavy ass hatch glass. and if you've picked one up, it's easily 40+lbs by itself

If you went that route I would suggest painting a border around the lexan, say a couple inches wide and then use the urethane. Otherwise the urethane will look fugly.

Are you kidding me? That measly 20lbs can make a big difference on your performance in a race. Seems like you don’t know anything about racing so ill explain it to you. People who actually race cars look for everything they can take off their car to make it lighter, from a 1lb object to a 20lb glass window. Lighter means faster.
sorry to rip on ya but if your going to say stupid crap im going to say something

When i bought my last crx the side 2 quarter windows were broken out and instead of replacing them (woulda been around $120) I got big screen protector (for the rear projection crt's, i work at a electronics store so it was free) I cut em out marked holes, drilled them out and riveted them in. So far its been great,

haha nice first post in a 2 year old thread, noob. 20 lbs means jack shit in a 1/4 mile drag. If you see a 1/100th improvement I'd be surprised.
