painted my valve cover

Default painted my valve cover

i know its been done, but this was my first attempt. i just taped the letters and used a razor to get the fine cuts. its cool i like it. peace. }=)

-new headers
-new high flow obx resonator
-new carbon fiber exaust tip
-new p.s pump
-new radiator
-new belt
-new injen ram intake
-new strut bar
-new deck (installed myself)
-new speakers

-not bad for learning as i went and not having shit for help besides u great guys

i think thats around all i did, tok a few months but im happy with it!

and after all that theres a small puddle of oil under my intake on my engine.....
the fun never ends!

to make things easier you can just leave the letters un-taped, after paint has dried, take 400 grit wet/dry paper and a sanding block and wet sand the letters. will remove all the paint off of them and leave you with a really nice brushed finish with sharp clean edges around the letters.

i was in too big of a hurry to wait for black to come in. the store i went to was out so i went with red...its nothing a little elbow grease wont remove if i want to do it different later.

Looks good.
I like the idea with the sanding block. I never woulda thought of that.
Mine was repainted using flat BBQ paint. Still looks good for being done 3 years ago.

where did you get that type of red b/c i tried to paint my but the red that i used was not a reeal red one it end up lihe orange,
