I was wondering if anyone has some tips on how to get that new car shifting feel back into my 92 Accord LX. It has around 180K miles on it, so I realize things wear out over time. What can I replace to get it feeling tight again?

Buy new bushings. It doesn't look like Energy Suspension has any for Accords but you might be able to use some from another model, or just replace them with OEM. http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/hon1.html

I don't think cable shifters use bushings...

Oh boy, here comes the burn!

How do I adjust the cables? In the car or out at the tranny? A couple quick destructions would be greatly appreciated!

I've never messed with an Accord or Prelude, i just know they use cables though. The cables might not even be adjustable for all I know, because I've only seen people replace the shifter(4bidden sells one) or use short shift adapters.

i would just get either new bushings, which cable boxes use, or just replace it with a new short shifter one, i could be wrong, but i think this might work, its for a prelude, but i do know some prelude stuff works for accords, give it some research, but if it works, this is the best option possible.

short shifter
