Get a tape measure and measure from mount hole to mount hole.

My 6X9's barely fit and I had to MAKE them work......Of course, there's a big hole behind the cover, you could probably fit a couple sizes bigger if you wanted to make a mount for them.

first gen: 6". If you work the hole out, you can go 6.5" of course.

If you're second gen, then the world is your oyster.. Cut into plastic, Jesse James

I have seen a guy mod his stock brackets and put two 8" subs in them. They looked good and sounded ok. I say just get an external box.

I have Pioneer 6x8s in the back and the cover still fits over it.

I think the 6x8 is specialty for several cars, but the price was right so I picked them up and made them fit
