Default buying advice - cheap receiver

I need to replace the head unit in the ti...

it's got a tape player. lol

my only concern right now is that i want it to have ipod hook up/control built in (and preferably in the rear so i can run it to my glove box out of sight)

amber display preferred (to match interior lights)

as cheap as possible on this one... i think $150 is too much. i'd love to spend under $100 if possible.... but i won't buy a dual or a jensen

i'm leaning towards this right now.

JVC KD-PDR30 CD receiver with MP3/WMA playback at Crutchfield.com

99 bucks with harness/mount kit, built in ipod... close enough to amber display... i don't think i can touch this price on anything else

Since neonmike has your back I won't chime in quite yet, however; don't get that head unit. Like he already said, you could do WAY better. *cough*

It doesn't do CD at all. U can however hook up a pen drive/USB drive to it. I used an 8 Gig one so its like having a hard drive in dash receiver or you can hook up the Ipod or any other MP# player. Also can add a cd changer but CD's wull be out in 5 years.

I'd rid of it for 125 + shipping thats inclusing the Sirius Tuner which was like 110 or so.

100 for the Amp if anyone is interested. Stuff was installed for only 3 months and was bought brand new

technically it is last years model, with CES goin on right now. If i was anybody shoppin for a headunit i would wait until the end of the month for 2 reasons. All the new models will be out so you can get the brand new models for the year and because the new models are coming out all last years models will be discounted to get ridd of them to make room for the new ones.
