| Greenhorn | hi im new to the site and new to the car also lol just bought it its a 89 crx hf with a d16z6 motor swap i have a p28 ecu with a jumper harness. Also i have a obdo stock wire harness with a obd1 distributer. I have read a ton of stuff about the wiring for this but i just cant get the car to start. I hear the main really work under my feet and also hear the fuel pump kick on. Also i am getting power to the distributer.I have checked all the grounds and they are good to but is there just a ground wire for the distributer? If any one has any idea on why i just might not be getting spark i would greatly appricate it starting to go crazy!! And im not all that great with the whole wiring thing either but do know how to do it if someone just tells me how. Thanks again |

Rep Power: 6 | Have you tested the distributor? If so I would start by going over the dist. wiring. Are you using the HF harness? |

Rep Power: 6 | Yeah you can test the igniter they tend to go out a lot, but I would think that one out of two should be good. Are you getting any cel's? Have you gone over the distrib wiring from the OBD1 conversion? |

| F**k plastic. | Possible bad ECU but not likely. I would get a Helms or Haynes manual so you can test the different dizzy parts and know what you're looking for. I've had a coil and an igniter go out on the same dizzy. I've also just had a really bad cap and rotor combo and the car wouldn't run. Last edited by GlassHeadlights; 10-23-2009 at 01:23 AM. |

Rep Power: 6 | If it's OBD1 the Jumper Harness you are using should be wired up to jump your CEL (Check Engine Light) and read the code from your dash. Or for OBD-0 the LED on you ECU will blink out the code. Anyway, you count the blinks, fast blink = 1 long blink = 10. You can find the trouble codes on the following page: Honda ECU Trouble Codes This should help you to figure out what is going on. |

| Greenhorn | check crank sensor also ecu might be bad check voltage from the pins that send signal from ecu to distributor also does the distrubutor have internal or external coil? if coil is external and u did not replace it it might be the issue |
