yea title is clean.. the only flaw the car has is that its getting somewhat of a small ticking noise.. sounds like oil pump is going out or pickup is cloging up. im not to worried about it. some older guy had it in nashville TN and had it most of his life. but yea sorry ill do a search, just figured id check any helpful imput that would help me out . thanks

it's the chassis we're all concerned about. even if the motor's blown, too many people have ruined their crx's and they're becoming more rare and the damand is also going up. an un-molested, rust free, maybe even dent free crx is an incredible find. for 400 bucks is just awesome. post pics!!

yea dude wanted 700 for it then i talked to him and he was like yea ill let it go for 500 ...which is still good price but my dad was in TN and stoped by the guys house and the guy said he needed money so he took 400. the interior is complete just needs a good cleaning and the clear on the car seems have almost faded off but thats no big deal i have an autobody shop. i will try and get these pictures up today.

and since you have found a d15b do some research on that. a lot of people like it because of the power/fuel economy. there is a swap section of this forum for your car that probably includes some d16z6 and d15b swaps

my friend has a D15B (JDM) and he's being told they dont make aftermarket rods and pistons for it. he was going to boost it, but instead he's going to have to get a D16Z6 block. i havnt had time to check that out. just throwin that out there.
o, and the D15 is slow as ballz, IMO. get something a lil more powerful atleast. |

i read that putting a DX head, along with a timing belt the same year as the head, 4th Generation Si intake manifold, CRX Si Distributor, CRX Si Ecu and CRX Si transmission onto the motor thats in the hf right now , that it will be pretty quick. i had a few people tell me to do the same thing and the results will be impressive. what do u guys think?

lol so we messed around with the car today and put a new battery on it, pretty sure it runs fine and the oil pump works like a champ lol .. we reved it up to about 5 grand and it made a slight knock. also the oil is dirt black so im going to change it and see if it stops. just figured id let everyone know what a crazy deal i got on this car if it runs lol

haha. im still flipin out of how good of a deal i got on it. and i have went over the whole car and not one spot of rust found. But yea im not trying to spend a whole lot of money right now for a swap.. under $1000 is wat im lookin at.. but i think we are gonna rebuild bottom end on this d15b thats in it and swap a different head with intake and it should be a done deal.. lookin for something thats somewhat quick but still wanna get good gas mileage cause ill be driving 250miles every weekend and no tellin how many miles during the week. but info on what i should do to this motor then let me know but i think i got it down pat now.
