Hello I got a91 hatch with a d15b2 n its smoking a lot I did all da tune up n changed day whole. Exhaust. System and am asking what can it be beside that I checked my head gasket and it stell smoking can anybody help me or give me ideas thanks

it prob needs reringed i done mine about 2 half months ago mine was smoking really bad it was like bluesh black smoke anyway it fine now and got more more. its a90 hatch

you can do it in the car just keep everything clean while your doing it hope this helps

Do it in the car? That's remotely possible, but I would suggest highly unlikely as a valid solution. With the age, mileage and condition of the engine it's more than likely it's beyond a hone and re-ring scenario, and most likely needs to be bored.

How will he know if it's a candidate for hone and re-ring. I doubt he has the measuring tools or experience to know. Once it's torn down that far, it's not much more work to just pull the tranny/block. Re-assembly on an engine stand, -vs- crawling under the car is well......

How hard is it to write the? And because? Why is it ok to substitute ain't for isn't? Why is it so hard to end a sentence with a .? Why is it so hard to write for? Fo isn't an ok substitution.... I'm thinking if the cat is in good shape, even oil smoke can be white in apprearance at the tail pipe. Maybe not.

Is it showing signs of burning oil as in needs a quart added every couple of fill ups?

What about the cooling system? Does it need to be re-filled frequently?

It's either burnning oil, coolant or both.

Yea he can do it from underneath.My engine is from a 88 dx and had about 220000 on it and it was smoking bad like a half a quart every three days. Its daily drivin. All i did was blocked the bottom of the cylinders with clean rags and honed it out real good and reringed it and put the bottom half in.You know rod and main bearings.Hey it worked for me each to there own.
