i have a chance to get a b18a1 for my '88 HB. I was wondering how much do you think it is worth? It is just the motor only and it needs new rings. Thanks

These motors are a dime a dozen dude...
$100 is a decent price, but remember you'll be sinking more money into it to rebuild it...

Unless your an experienced Honda engine builder, I would recommend just to continue shopping around for another, running, motor.
You can pick up running motors and trans' in the 2-500 range.
