Default Codes 10 and 14

Since i changed my engine i have had cel codes 10 and 14. I changed both censors and tried different ecu's and engine harnesses with no luck.

any ideas?

Codes:

10 - IAT Sensor (Intake Air Temperature) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
14 -
IAC Valve (Idle Air Control) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

check your connectors - sounds like you have the two connectors switched

Intake Air Temp sensor (code 10) is a 2-wire connector with red/yellow and green/white wires

Electronic Air Control Valve (code 14) is also a 2-wire connector with blue/yellow and black/yellow wires

if the car was originally DPFI, the EACV connector is green in color

Yep. ^^^^^ also you might have the connectors switched on the iat and one to the brake system. They are close to each other, this happened to me.

if the car was DPFI, there is another 2-wire connector in the same area which was for the Tandem Control Valve - it should not be connected to anything, if the car was converted to MPFI - the Tandem Control Valve connector has orange and black/yellow wires

Its still dpfi. Im gonna try switching plugs around tomorrow. keep the ideas coming.

I all so have the same problem but im gettin a code 20 as well. What is the reason for a code 20?

I switched the engine harness with my parts car and its fine now.
