was wondering will 91 crx doors fit on a 88, i mean are they the same door other than the panels

91 has the seat belt mechanism in the doors and the 88 doesn't

the 88-89 si actually have the door mounted belts as well..

well the 88 does not, im also thinking the molding on the 90-91 is higher up

Honda part numbers for the door skins are the same on all of them - i think that just the molding itself is different

The window of the door mounted seatbelt is about 1" narrower than the window of the piller mounted doors. This is because the back of the door frame is wider to fit in more support for the seatbelt mechanism.

the canada built hondas had the seatbelts on the pillar, the one built for american specs have them on the door. i believe this is true for all 88-91 models, my 89 has them on the pillar and was built to canada specs. it has the sticker on the radiator support

a buddy of mine has a USA spec 89 HF and the seat belt is pillar mounted.

dont think so, my 89si (hatch, if it makes a diffrence) has them on the pillar, and my 88 hf crx had them mounted on the pillar also.. idk

so did you ever find out what doors will fit? i thaught in 90 they made the crx a little longer, but i dont know what they stretched. the doors or just the body

well from what i can tell the doors are almost the same other than seatbelt, door impact bars and the molding is a little different, but for years i have thought the doors on the 90-91 was a little shorter from bottom to top, but i cant find info on that, but im confused because i didnt think that for years for no reason. i dont think anyhow lol.

The 88 Si had pillar mounted belts. If I were you, I'd just wait it out and get the correct door.

yeah thats what im gonna do, im thinking of just reparing the ones i got i was just hating to put that much bondo on it.
