Default Crx Help!!!!

Im picking up this up next weds. . . the motor dose not run because its not wired properly. . . it was an auto converted to manual. . . any help will be greatly appreciated. . . Just want to get it running so I can drive it then the game plan is below.

So im going to be picking up a crx on weds, purchased it from a local kid. . . its kinda rice, but its all going back to stock format body wise. Do some stock headlights and taillights, paint it satin black and start in on the swap.

The Plan: gut the car, insert roll cage, work on suspention (skunk2 dampers, blox rear lca's, sway bars, camber kit, traction bars) integra brake conversion, paint it satin black, enjoy.

The Goal: for the year of 2007 get the body in preped condition, finish the suspention, fab up the cage, winter 07/08 install K mounts, harness spring of 08' drop K motor into the car, enjoy.

here is the car now. . . no rot (whooot) just a small scabb of cancer on the drivers rear 1/4 pannel. . . a da will make quick work of it tho

there are a few things im trying to decide, im not too shure what motor I want to build at the moment, I would like to do a frank motor K24/K20 but Ive read there are a good number of members runing into traction issues on stock K20a2's, so Id like to find a nice K24, from an element and do the A3 BC cams in it with a mild kpro tune. . . or even run a built K20a3. Im not noob to k-series motors Ive built a few and my dd is an 05' civic si (poo poo K20a3) I felt it was a lose lose battel modding it, so time for a project. . . let me know what you guys think and what I should look forward to in the future. updates wil be made every time there is progress made.

poo poo motor. . .

You want an honest opinion?? RUN LIKE HELL AWAY FROM THAT CAR!!!!! It alreadly screams trouble in so many ways. Its gonna cost you a fortune, honestly you can pick up a better condition one for less than 3000.
That wiring looks horrible, and honestly if someone who owned the car before you was mechanically retarded, you already know that everything he touched was going to be ghetto rigged and installed incorrectly.
JUST RUN AWAY FROM IT!!!!!!

its not blasphemy, its a shitty looking crx, its going to be a ton of work and its going to take forever to finish, also it will cost you an arm and a leg..... just my advice, you really should think it over cuz it looks like youll be posting soon about how much you regret buying it..... how much did you pay?

$200.00 for the car, its a project car. I have a 05' si as my dd, im looking to build a car and take my time with it, im not expecting to finish it in a week or a year but for a rolling shell its a great deal, im pulling the motor and driveline and swapping for a K24. so that headache is gone, there is no rot or dents on car, im not really seeing an issue with this. . .

Rip out the old cut up harness, swap in another harness from a manual 88-91 Civic or CRX. Probably about $100(estimate) if the main harness is fucked, and some labor that you can do yourself, done.

ok, well see i was just givin you the heads up about what CRX projects cost, seein as ive already been down this road the hard way. The thing that scares me is you say alot of stuff like " DROP IN" and so forth, it just seems like your not prepared. EITHER WAY good luck, i love seeing rex's brought back from the brink of rice, mines clean and stock lookin for the most part, so im partial to that look myself.

sorry for the terminology I used for lowering my car. . . im far from a ricer, the "goal" is to get zeal dampers and corner weight the whol car, I cant to do alot of autoX with it and even some time attack racing, but since that not common here on the east coast I doubt it. . . BUT this car will not be sunk to the realms of honda failure, it will be 100% restored and then K-swapped, just wait till I get into it and you will realize what it is that I plan on doing. for the cost factor and time into it, that is not a problem, Its a project car and if money is short, there wont be shortcuts on the project, I have a parts list forming and a scedual for all points in the build.

ok so no one thinks I should get it because of a spot of surface rust the size of a thubnail (got a hook up on a new OEM 1/4 pannel) and ricer headlights. . . . its not really like that stuff is a hard fix guys. . . Im still not understanding the problem. .. maby im just mentally injured

you guys are missing the point.......... I understand that your EXTREMELY hung up on the body not having rust.... GREAT, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL!!!!! The POINT IS, it was owned by a ricer, someone who you know cut every single corner in doing everything to the car, you have no idea what will break next, what needs to be replaced or what his handy dandy fixer upper skills were. THATS THE POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE.... thats all. I say good luck with it, cuz i love crx's but you gotta know when youve taken on too much.

a project is a project is a project.

everyone told me i was stupid for being the only person in the US with RPW parts on his mirage - an aussie company with ZERO support stateside. i took a $1200 beat to shit riced out mirage and made it a GREAT DD. never left me stranded, but has left me shaking my head a few times.

what was your point again?

what is your deal, I got it because it was clean, tell me what will be reused that a ricer could have tampered with? im replacing the whole suspention, motor, fuel system, driveline, brakes, alot of the body pannels (hood, bumper, doors, hatch with SIR parts) im not really seeing a problem here. . . the car is getting gutted, there isnt much that could backfire via some ricers attempts to add projector headlights and a poo poo exhaust. . . I think your getting upset about this and negitive for no reason. . . why must you hate? appreciate!
