ok im selling my crx but im kinda confused with the engine.
ok the engine says: D15b 1664562 But its registered as a 1.6 L. The valve cover says 16 valve and it has the PGM-FI Dual Point what could it be? D15b2? D15b1? D15b7? any help? or is there anything else that would tell me exactly what engine it is? |

D15B is a JDM engine - some were VTEC and some were non-VTEC dual carb - with that serial number, yours should be the dual carb version where someone has removed the dual carbs and installed the DPFI intake manifold - VTEC D15B has spark plugs on the exhaust side and non-VTEC D15B has spark plugs on the intake side - dual carb engines ran a mechanical fuel pump which was bolted to the head and was actuated by an additional lobe on the camshaft - the head should have a block-off plate between the intake manifold and the distributor to cover the hole where the fuel pump was removed - the dual carb D15B was 98hp with the carbs - with the DPFI, it is probably about the same as a USDM D15B2 with DPFI, 92hp
