Wrong.Your going to have to convert to obd1 also in order to actually have VTEC.Just go to Rywire - Online Store and grab up some harnesses.Your also going to need a 4 wire o2 sensor, the obd1 ecu(p28) and a cable tranny. The Z6 tranny is hydro so if it comes with the tranny just sell it and buy a crx si tranny because that HF tranny sucks bad.You arent going to be going anywhere fast with that thing.Your also going to have to swap out the driver side mount with the one from your HF motor.SO convert to OBD1 and Get a Si tranny.

this is true i just didnt mention the detals because after already typing the same thing in 2 other post i just figured he would see it, but depending on ecu you use wether you use a 4 wire 02 sensor for exsample if you use a po8 you need a one wire but just go with the p28

sorry guys. was being lazy. but that sounds pretty simple. can i just change the final drive gear to lower the gear ratio to compensate for the high gears?

You can put a higher final drive on the old HF transmission if you want. You'll go through the gears faster for sure. But since you'll already have it torn down, you'd might as well fix the rest up as well; bearings etc.

Just buy an Si transmission for $75-120. Far cheaper and easier than doing transmission work.

If you do that, you should trust the seller before you just throw it in. If you don't trust them you'll want to check it's internals for condition or pay someone else to do so.

ONLY the outboard (hub end) joints are different. In other words, no.

Just ask questions and pay attention to the answers. That'll usually tell you if someone's trying to be shadey.

Like I said, pay attention to the answers. Not just the words, the tone of the words and preferably the body language of the seller. Is he avoiding specific areas? Is he too quick to answer? Et cetera.

You can choose to run a PM6 and activate VTEC off an RPM switch. Maybe your motor will blow up like my friend's because the PM6 doesn't have the correct fuel and timing maps for VTEC. He didn't want to spend the $400 on the OBDI conversion so now he has to buy a new engine. The choice is yours.

I really hate half-assed stuff people do like this. Then they ask why it blew up... LOL
