Default How can I push 300

I am tottaly new to Honda's I just bought a 1990 honda civic with a b16a stock. From what I hear 300 in a civic is definately enough to have fun on a track. What are some of the most simple and most important things to start with? thanks for any advise

Here you go.

Do some research, its not hard to get 300, but with that you will have to do other mods to the driveline so it can handle the extra ponies. Even 200whp is fun.

My hatch w/B16, Tein Basics, and slicks hugs corners like a dream (or as good as a FWD car can lol) and pulls out of them plenty good enough to have fun, and Im pushing 190ish on a good day.

I bought the car from a close friends friend. But he put new H&R suspension, 6 point cage(god knows what reason) Tower bar, rear strut, new heads, exhaust, intake. He said its sittin at about 170 at the wheels. But I was wondering on these civics what are the importants things to replace, such as cams, fuel injecters, ect.

Research around the site. There are quite a few B16 builds.

Ass-dyno says so. CTR pistons, cams, TB, I/HE, 7.5lb flywheel, no AC and no PS. It pulls on my friends GS-R, again the ass-dyno theory.

i agree with that. it's VERY hard to get 190 to the wheels out of 1.6 liters. easier out of 1.8, the 2.2 is pretty simple.

i have seen itr swaps with intake, smsp header, and full exhaust hit 195 with a very extensive tune. but that was with top of the line parts and tons of tuning.

When you say "what's important to replace?" what do you mean? Replace for more power? Replace because they're worn out? What? Be more specific on what you're hoping to accomplish with this car and you'll get better help. Maybe list a specific power number you'd like to reach or quarter mile time or something like that...

It's "just the way you write" huh? So you put unnecessary S's on the end of words thereby making them plural? You're an idiot. An engine with a "V" layout has multiple heads. An inline 4-cylinder does not. If you want help here then be open to corrections and criticism and learn from the more experienced people.

I believe the OP wants 300 horse. If thats still the case, to the OP, you should just type "turbo" in the search bar and read everything it brings up. Once you do that, come back and ask ppl here to explain the thigns that confuse you.

P.S. If I were you, Id read the stuff in the links in get nicks sig.
