I don't really like the magnaflow sound. Why don't you get an HKS? The Hi-power exhaust system they sell sounds really nice and they have a silencer insert for it.

Ebay exhaust with silencer? They sell some pretty good systems according to the descriptions.
-stainless steel -money back guarantee if it rusts or doesn't fit They sell kits like this for around $250 shipped. A little more than your budget lol but hey it's a cat-back. Not sure if they come with silencers, but I've heard them they sound just like the N1 exhaust some of them. |

The Magnaflows sound alright; but the Apexi WS, Greddy Evo2, or the RSR Exmag may be better(quieter, and still have a nice tone when you step on it).

look for a used worldsport. Best exhaust I think hands down. Stocker look and it has an awesome tone and never gets raspy. I found one for my prelude back in the day for like 180 shipped. Definitely worth every penny.

OBX Twin-loop? It's a Mugen imitation but a lot of people like the tone. I never heard it in person though.
Another option is a Vibrant muffler(I think it's just under $100). __________________

2.25" piping, straight through resonator, and straight through oval-shaped muffler FTW. A Magnaflow, Vibrant, or ES should do the trick just fine. Or, looked for a used Apex'i WS like was suggested. __________________

Vibrant ftw. I have a 3" muffler on my hatch, and it sounds amazing. Im sure if it was on a stock pipe exhaust it would be alot less loud.
I think its the streetpower, its flat black, oval style, and produces a really deep aggressive tone. __________________

I had a Dynomax Turbo muffler on my b16 CRX and it sounded good. It was pretty quiet but had that nice growl when you really stepped on it.
