Default need help finding out my trim,

i bought a used 1991 honda crx, and im wanting to get one of the vtecs, and im just wondering how do i find out what trim of crx i have. and if that engine will fit in my crx, im pretty sure its not the si, because ive seen them before and they have the emblem or whatever on the back that says "si" but i dont know what to look for to see if its the dx or hf, any help will be much appreciated, thanks

Look at your VIN number. It'll be something like JHMED8361etc. The 8 means it's a 1500. If that number was 9 it'd be a 1600(Si). The 6 is either HF or Si, if that number is 5 it's a DX or standard.

A Si will have a sunroof,MPFI,Rear Disk brakes..im sure theres other things im missing.
A DX will not have a sunroof,it will have DPFI and have rear drum brakes.
A HF will not have a sunroof,it will have MPFI,and rear drum brakes.

Thats not the only differences but the most noticable ones.

Also there are many different VTEC engines so you will need to be more specific on which engine you are interested in putting in your crx.

You can put any FWD honda motor into your car, so don't worry about the 'size' of it.
