Ok, I worked on this fucker for 2 hours and the drivers side slid right in and i hammered the rest in. the passenger side for some reason will not go in for the life of it! i feel the lines or threads in the center of the brake rotor and their fine. and i look at the cv axle and the little stripes or threads are good maybe a barely little messed up. i put grease and hammered it as hard as i could while spinning the hub. do i need a new cv axle or what??

Yes, Its standard, but what werd is their the same axles i was using before and the sam transmission and it still wont go it. its like somethings stopping it. but if i take the axle out the tranny and hammer it in on the outer side of the hub it goes in no problem. its werd if it goes in on the opposite side then i'd think it should go in the other side no problem. what else could this be???

You shouldn've have tried to hammer it in. The splines probably aren't lined up or it's a little crooked.

I had that issue with my Accord. Patience eventually paid off(took a lot of wiggling and spinning). You should clean the splines and inspect them.

Good luck! If that doesn't work, maybe the splines on the hub is messed up.

It would be easier to just replace the whole knuckle with a known good one but a shop can press in new hubs pretty easily. You can change your wheel bearings while you're at it. If you have a HF/Std and plan on swapping motors in the future, might as well swap in DX/Si/EX knuckles and axles.

The DX, Si, and EX hubs use larger ends(larger diameter/more splines).

other way around dude. Std/HF are smaller.
Yes. Only the outer ends(hub-side) of the axles are different.
