ok the rack and pinion are going out on my sedan and need to be replaced i have my 89 crx si that has a good rack and pinion and brand new tie rods on it and im going to swap it on but i want to know if they are compatible first the part numbers came up the same at the local parts store and as far as i can tell there is no difference so if anyone knows let me know thanks guys =)????

Same part numbers for both cars..
Honda Automotive Parts Honda Automotive Parts ...the only thing I could see being a possibilty is the HF having a different steering ratio than the Dx or Si but I dont know, to be honest. |

thats good cuz my 89 civic sedan is a dx and my crx is an si =) this makes me really happy im going to swap the steering racks when i swap the motor for my b16 which will make it much easier im swapping in my b16a thats got cams edelbrock intake mani and throttle body, act light weight fly wheel, act stage 2 clutch, aem intake, dc sports header, no name afpr, hasport mounts, b&m shifter, s1 lsd cable trans =) its going to be alot of fun =)
